I agree, Steele could have easily made it to another neighboring town, he probubly would have
made it in a few days.

He probably went underground after getting served by the others by telling Balto was dead. He may have gone to the Yukon or towards Russia.

Well if I was the writer which i am thinking about coming one i would of had Steele run awway after he was called disposable. Then fight a hard blizzard he would have eventually died if he was not found by a pack of wolfs were he was safed and had a new found respect for wolfs and wolf dogs alike.

Steele most likely just retire from being a sled dog and became a normal house dog if you think of it in a realistic way
