It's my belief that the current Mods,do an extremely good job,as busy as they are,or in one's case,as ill as he is.

I had an Ask[insert character name here]in the Lion King section, which under my own authority,I reported to be locked, but I guess that will remain open/unlocked.

I agree with this xD I get what your saying, JC.
I mean, Sure mods cant be working forever but they should just take a few minutes to come on and check ;P
I wanted to be a mod and still do, but Steet ''forbids'' anyone asking  I get it, cuz there will be too many asking for the job. I think I would make a great mod, Since im like on when im wake up till I go to sleep xD Well dont get me wrong, I do go outside and stuff XD I know the rules and responsiblilites and how to use it (Im on a mod on a similar fourm like this one.) But as much as I would like to do the job, I wont ask.
Pushing that aside, New mods would be nice, but old ones are just as good. I dont mind how many mods there are, I dont see why people who complain about more mods :/ but anyway, Some people would like the job and eventually, some people will get it cuz I could imagine people being more busy in real life, with jobs and such and just leaving the site or wanting to be a regular member.

But hey that's my opinion and I stand by it.

If mods are saying they simply have too many things to do in real life in response to concerns that there is not enough coverage, quite simply there is only one solution: get more mods. You can't turn a blind eye on that, it's pure and simple logic.

With traffic probably increasing in the long term as the Source websites grow numbers of issues grow and you need more people to deal with more problems. However from what I've seen so far steet is currently feeling a bit stingy in making more mods as new sections are being covered by moderators that already have other sections to tend to. It would benefit long term and short term to bring in some more help.

Ok, y'all need to get real. I saw a post here complaining that a reported topic wasn't locked in a matter of hours. For real? Give me a break. It seems to get lost in the shuffle that the mods are real people, with real lives. They can't come on here all the time. And the defense to that seems to be, "Well, no one wants anyone to sacrifice their personal life for an internet site about a cartoon...BUT". But, what? But you're going to ask them to anyway? But you're going to go on and on, over and over, trotting out the same, hackneyed points again and again? Let's face it, none of the mods are paid to do this thankless job.

Frankly, Jersey, why don't you go ahead and create your own Balto website? It's apparent, by the sheer number of times you've complained and apparently, gotten no satisfaction, that you could do a ton better on your own. You've obviously got endless amounts of time on your hands, seeing as you have plenty of time to write painstakingly-researched and War and Peace length posts. Besides, think about it. Then you could run everything your own way. Appoint your own moderators, hell, even be one yourself! And you could take all the malcontents and complainers with you, and it would be so much better.

It's really easy for people who aren't running anything to complain and bloviate at length about how much better everything would be if they could only be in charge.

Give it a break people. The website, from the admittedly little I see of it anymore, seems to function fine. No arguments to speak of, really, and no more flaming and trolling that *ANY* website with this volume of traffic sees.

Flaming and trolling are a part of life on the Internet, people. You can't stomp it out. We've had over 10,000 years to get rid of murder and theft, and we haven't had any luck. Some people just want to cause a problem. The mods take care of it when they are made aware of it. What more do you want them to do?

While that may be, (Jersey Might remember this) once this member (Or troll) made a topic and started posting "Furry" sexual images. (Disturbing)
It took a while (I don't remember exactly) before a mod came online to get rid of the entire topic.
If that happens again- Hours to take it to be deleated, well you can guess how things can go from there. Wouldn't be much of a kids site then huh?
