I've never had a computer crash before, wait a moment, I probably just jinxed myself. Just in case my PC decides to crash I back up all my important crap on a external hardrive.

If you take care of your computer you can avoid it, simple as that. people have a habit of blaming viruses. Think of it like a car, you can drive as safe and put tons of money to boost it's performance and stability but eventually things just wear down to the point it craps out for good or for awhile, but it still will break in time, just like computer, you can take care of it better then any and the more time you use your computer wears it down, time kills anything lol

Wrong, Macs won't crash, If it does hold down the power button and restart If your data is lost, that's what external hard drives are for

EVERY Computer has the extent to crash, it is only a matter of time when. A crash can come from several things:
1. A software update that wasn't properly programmed (I'm thinking Patch 21143 of Windows Service Pack 2...lol) 2. Age. Electronic boards slow as they age because the build of resistance from moisture, dust, and temperature that they are exposed to. 3. Neglect. Not cleaning your computer, poor ventilation, constant large process loads, et cetera can begin to show after a year or two. 4. Ignorance. Best stay off those malicious sites children. 5. Environment. Temperature isn't the only factor for a computer's survival. Humidity and air pressure are two things often people forget about.
A crash doesn't have to be devastating. Usually most crashes are program error and a simple reboot and the system runs fine. Every computer has a hiccup or crash, but only serious ones come from neglect. Be responsible with your things and they will continue to live with minimal flaws.
...and YES Apple Computers do crash! When OS X Leopard was released, about 22% of MacBook and MacBook Pros ended up failing because Leopard was not properly programmed for fan control and the computers burned out. Of course this was fixed one week later, but that was a good chunk of computers Apple had to replace with its 90-day warranty.

All of that for nothing, they warn you in the manual Dx
but only serious ones come from neglect.
That only happens on windows. Not on macs anymore. It could happen on a mac if you make a dirty install. But they come preinstalled.
So, you wrote all of That nonsense for nothing. Dx

So, you wrote all of That nonsense for nothing. Dx lol...seriously. I have 2 Apple computers and 3 PCs running XP and all of them have crashed. Not because of accident, but because I wanted to make them crash- as in I crashed the OS on purpose. Just give me 6 minutes and the Terminal command on your glorious Mac, I can guarantee I will make it crash. Edit: Better yet, throw a blanket over your Mac or leave it sit on the bed for 6-8 hours running. I bet it will still work fine unlike a windows-based computer that would normally overheat.

I've had my current iMac for almost two years, and it has only locked up on me once. But that was over a year ago, and I haven't had a single problem since.

Most vehicles are manufactured to be in the middle ground of good performance, and high reliability. If you put money into upgrades to make it faster, more powerful, etc. It will wear out faster, seeing as how that's more then the vehicle's components are designed to handle...flawed argument in my opinion. Anyways, my on topic thing: My computer has yet to crash. It's spiked, and slowed down substantially, but so far so good. My old computer running Windows 98 seemed to blow apart at random one night, but it was made in 1996 when I got it in 2000. Lol

Puma, Jaguar, Panther, Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard? I bet that bug was fixed in Snow Leopard. Still I can make a new drive and test it out. Send me an e-mail with the code. Edit: Better yet, throw a blanket over your Mac or leave it sit on the bed for 6-8 hours running. I bet it will still work fine unlike a windows-based computer that would normally overheat.

It would be unprofessional of me and my career to give it to you. I must also ask, ZTech, why you keep asking people for relatively personal information such as people's passwords to YouTube, and now gone on to asking for code that makes a computer crash. Think about that for a minute... what could happen if that kind of code fell into irresponsible hands? Amaterasu makes a good point. A responsible programmer wouldn't give away such sensitive stuff to some random person on the internet that asks for it, just to see if throwing a blanket over a Mac will cause it to overheat or not. I'll give you an off-the-record warning for that, ZTech. I don't want you asking for any other private or sensitive information from other people again.
