Keane nodded. he would say nothing farther. His friend needed time to think. If he pressed to much, it would only make things worse for Lightscar and him. Keane's paw steps went from their normal silent and deadly pace, to a less held back one. He breathed threw his mouth. The air that was rushing threw his fur was clean of all things. Keane closed his eyes as he trotted along. His ears, nose, and instincts told him a clear was only paces away, and it was the end of their old packs territory. He speed up and burst threw the wall of brush and undergrowth. He found himself in a large clearing with tall grass. The deer that had been grazing raised their heads in alarm. But they senced no killer intent so they only retreated a yard away.

Keane was poking his nose everywhere. They found a small cave, a few tree's hollow at the roots so they both could have their own dens if they wanted, they even came across a mother deer and her fawn.
