I personally like High School Musical. I mean let's face it: a high school movie with no sex, no drugs, and no swearing. In this day and age, that's a rare thing and deserves a little respect.

I agree with Kolton, the same thing happened with High School Musical. The advert for it was on soooo many times that I was literally miming over the words the fifth time around. It's High School Musical, a show that's a rip-off of Grease; not a tragic plane crash or anything that's worth listening to or watching! Like Kolton said, you fans can flame me if you like but I just wish that they'd take this rubbish off the air and respect the REAL reason they exist: the ingeniuity and imagination of Walt Disney, who would be turning in his grave if he knew the state of his company now. :x :?

Off topic a little bit but, isn't there an urban legend that says Walt Disney's head was frozen and is kept deep below the studioes? Just asking if anyone else heard that myth.

I really don't care very much for High School Musical, I wouldn't say its a rip-off, more like a modern take on it.

Godzilla --> Not just his head, his whole body supposedly. But the truth is, he was cremated and his ashes are buried someplace (I forget where, exactly).

Or so they want us to think  . Joking of course, but that doesn't stop it from being referenced on various shows, I remember two examples, one where it was the head of a studio and the other were it was just the brain.

The ones im more favorable of is Ned's Declassificed School survival Guide, but that's cuz it played on Nickolodeon... another channel going downhill. Well anyway, Here in Canada, It's called Family channel. I dunno and it's basicaly repeats so ya.

Good news for you, Ned's Declassified (a personal favorite of mine) is being brought back as Ned's Declassified High School Survival Guide, featuring their continued misadventures in High School, which is why they've been showing the series again.

I remember that second one, from Cartoon Network. Personally I hated the way they depicted Jimmy's dad. Why is there some law in entertainment that dads are never intelligent?

Because adults are almost never smart when the kids are the main characters, if they were then the kids wouldn't be as good of main characters.

I miss disney channels old shows.Like Recess. That used to be my favorite.Or Phil of the Future, that was okay but still better than Hannah Montana or Jonas.Jonas sucks badly. It's boring! And all these new movies? Most of them are pointless and stupid. And they're not funny. One day Disney Channel is going to completely shut down.

Yep, Devon Werkheiser has already signed on for it last year, the show is being devolped right now, thus why they've started rerunning the show, to get people back into it. In my mind, of the three 'big kids networks', Disney, Cartoonnetwork, and Nick, Nick is the only one still worth watching all the time, they've still got a lot of cool shows, iCarly, True Jackson V.P., Fairly Odd Parents (thank goodness they brought it back), Ned's Declassified, they're all great. The only Nick show I don't like really is Mighty B. Disney, yeah, it went clear south, Cartoonnetwork, going there, Nick, still got a future, at least they were smart enough to bring back Fairly Odd Parents, one of there most popular shows ever...now if only they'd do something new with Danny Phantom, but at least they gave that show a proper ending.

Eh, I didn't like how they ended DP. Oh well.
But yeah - Disney isn't doing to well.

Wasn't the best ending but at least they actuelly gave it a real ending instead of just cancling it.

I completely agree. I barely watch Disney Channel anymore. It does annoy me sometimes that they don't have different races for main characters in their tv shows. A turning point was when That's So Raven premiered and I was a huge fan but now all that has gone down the drain. Now everyone is obsessed with Hannah Montana and Jonas. Although I do have to commend Disney for Wizards of Waverly Place which features a Hispanic lead. Hopefully Disney will change but then again it all comes down to how much money they can get.

To me now, its not just racially diversifying its mental diversity as well. I mean do we need a stupid person. The typical smart girl...no it isn't needed and the same lessons are always taught but reiterated

I really wouldn't fret over it, as WWM has already stated, Its a channel that is mainly targeting "Children" .

and Don't forget the Disney channel is Different in all the other countries.. In italy , China, japan, they all have their own "Disney channel" ..

Now, that is just from what I understand..

But I agree with how your feeling.. Sterotyping (Sorry for misspelling anything)

sadly I miss the Older Disney channel.. and I miss "ToonDisney" shows like Recess and such (which still airs but very rarely, mainly Late at night :S)
