Emuku's lung was silent and deadly. But he didn't kill his prey right away, instead he looked at it's eyes until the deer willingly lay down it's head and waited for the killing blow. Emuku striked as soon as the deer laid its head down. He didn't kill his prey for the fun, he only killed the deer for food. And when deer he made a large kill for food he made sure that his prey knew that. It sure made him feel easy about the kill.

A large male wolf, who had crimson red eyes and a golden pelt watched as a female strayed from her pack. This was all to good. He gave a curt nod and a low grunt to his companions, who began to circle the clearing. That female would be his to use as leverage in the nearby pack.

They began to enter the clearing, surrounding her, with fangs barred. The leader of the pack emerged from the shadows, his eyes and fangs waiting to shed blood. They didn't have to promise her back alive, and if they had to, they could always return her half alive.

Emuku lifted his head. His muzzled dripped with the blood of his fresh kill. He turned his ears in every direction, his one eye searching. He felt an uneasy feeling in his stomach. He knew that somewhere close was a wolf who didn't have a good bone in his body. Emuku knew something was going to happen.

The leader came into view. " We want you my dear. For you see, your pack and I are at war. They want it to remain more of a secret. But I want to win. So, my dear, you will become my playing chip. But then again who said you had to be in perfect condition?" he said to her in a smooth voice. But as he turned to his companions his voice was like venom. " Do what you wish, scar her, tear away her eyes if you want, but leave her alive!" he snarled.

Emuku pricked his ears and closed his eye. He could hear them, or more specifically one of them, he didn't catch all of it but he heard enough. That wolf and his friends had no right to hurt anyone. He snarled to himself as he left the carcass of his dinner. Emuku speed away, his feet almost skimming the ground as he headed silently to the sound of the voices.

The leader smirked. " Hold on everyone, I think I would like to crush her myself." he said as he stalked towards her. His fangs showing and sparkling in the morning sun. But he didn't get to close for he was tackled and found himself on the ground belly up with a paw on his throat and razor sharp fangs in him face.

Emuku tackled the wolf who was closing in on a female. He had easily flipped him and began to crush his throat with his paw, his claws close to puncturing the skin. He snarled and spat in the face of his new enemy. " You have no right to hurt one who has no defense against you and your pack. Leave, and go back to your stink pit of a home, for if you do not I will not hesitate to rip your throat and destroy your pack you scum." Emuku said, his voice was as cold as ice and sent a shivver down the spins of those present.

The leader was too proud to give up. So he did what he could, he spat on the wolfs face. " You probably couldn't kill a fly!" he snarfed. His eyes darted to his pack mates. " KILL HI-" but he was cut off as he felt the wolf puncture the skin on his neck. He cried out in pain but he was cut off again. This time he was welcomed with death.

Emuku snorted. The pest had spit in his face, insulted him, and was too prideful to give in with his tail between his legs. So he had pushed harder on the mutts neck and bit it, killing him. He looked around, and with the blood on his muzzle was even more fierce looking. "LEAVE!" he commanded them. And the pack of wolves were only too happy to agree and leave like a bunch of flee bitten mutts.
