By fifteen, it's probably laziness.

I don't care if you don't like how someone spells a word. It's a bad rule in my opinion, and it's an argument that's been way over done. Enough now please. I created this topic to help newbies and stop arguments. Not create new ones.

I created this topic to help newbies and stop arguments. Not create new ones. What business do you have trying to prevent an argument when you technically started this one with JC? You accused him of starting a fight and spamming. Everything he has said has either pertained to the topic or been in response to what someone else has said, which basically clears him from the spam accusation. As far as I can tell, Zion's comments brewed the unrest in here first. So don't tag JC with it. Also, please don't all of the sudden become so defensive of the grammar topic. There are several sides to it, and you should have expected them to crop up here at some point. So consider admitting you're wrong about your accusations and maybe apologize to JC so the topic can continue on.

<post swiped - sorry, it was made under the influence of medicine; I don't think I meant what was here at the time of posting. I should've stayed off the site until I had finished the cure.>

I agree with this. I admit, I can be a bit histile at times, normally to the newmembers who aren't actually making an effort to obey the sites rules after being told them. However, it does bug me when someone genuinely wants to learn and fit in, and like you said - they are left to fall. I think some people just don't accept change well. But hey, it's the internet. Oh and, we Scot's DO speak English. Some Nurseries speak Gaelic, but anyone old enough to be on a computer should be speaking English fluently by now.

I find it very annoying to see several people all posted saying "Don't use sms here -.-" to the same person. After one person has reminded them that sms/anything else is against the rules - move along. It's very intimidating to have loads of people all having a go at you. :/ Kazzinator wrote: Oh and, we Scot's DO speak English. I agree.
From my stand point I'm considered somewhat old to this site [joined in 2006]. I'm not very active on the forums but I'm on a lot in the fanart section.
I left for a very long time because i could not stand the drama between people in the shoutbox. [this was around 2007] It peeved me that every time i got on someone was gossiping or arguing. i mean really, you're saying hateful things behind a computer screen to people you don't even know. Also i have seen some bullying both in the past and recently. It's unfair to pick on someone because they're new. We've all been new to something one time or another. You should also keep in mind that since this site is based off of children's movies and so naturally children are more likely to join. They may have never joined a site before and could be lost or confused. Being kind and having patience can really pay off. One thing that i notice also is if one person corrects a mistake for someone then other people feel the need to point it out too. It's intimidating when so many people point out your mistakes and pick on the same person. Be respectful and remind them once then move along.
In 2007 I left and would get on seldom to talk to a few online friends or submit artwork. I came back recently and looked around. It has improved here tremendously while I was gone. The site looks cleaner and the people seem a bit nicer.
I just wish so many didn't feel the need to argue, it's unnecessary. :/

Only a few nurseries speak it, and nearly every kid forgets it by the time they get through Primary school. xD

Respect is earned, not handed out on a silver platter.
I liked how this site was when I first joined (wayyyy back in 2005, woo); it was a small, tight knit community, and new members were basically put on trial (just like it is in life). You had the few that were always willing to help, everyone could rp together, but trust and respect were earned. You didn't just show up and go "HERE I AM! LOVE ME!".
I'm not going to respect you, until you show me you deserve my respect and that you respect me back, simple as that.
