Naira smiled warmly. "I like talking to you too, and I'd love to watch you run or train or whatever it is you'll be doing"she added. "Lead the way please"

The two started walking.Naira paused for a moment and said jokingly,
"There aren't any squirrels are there?"
I wonder how I'll do meeting his team mates, I hope I don't mess up in front of him

"Ha ha no squirrles, it's out in the open, but in the woods, a cleared away place." Blue smiled. When they got there, Blue led her over to them. "Hey I'm Yonic, good look'n one on the team." A red dog said, comming up. "He's full of himself." Blue smirked. "Uh-huh you know it's true!" Yonic laughed. "You allready met Luke not to long ago, and there's Tundra, the only girl on the team." Blue smiled. " But she's just as thought as any of us, Spitz is already out there practicing, he's old and loyal to our owner, and he dosn't talk much." Blue exclamied.

"I'm the good looking one on the team" bragged the red husky

Naira chuckled and she mentally told herself not to roll her eyes at Yonic.

She nodded at Tundra and the two exchanged small smiles.
Girls can communicate without speaking Naira thought

"wow, you have a tough team," Naira remarked, "you must run a lot, you all have muscle," she giggled,then caught herself.

what the heck is wrong with me?! I sound like a giggly preppy girl
She stole a glance at Blue who was looking at her with a small smile.

Naira tried her best to stay calm, friendly-looking and open, but she could see some of the dogs looking (out of the corners of their eyes) at the scars on her side, Naira shifted uncomfortably wondering what to say next.

Then Blue walked around to the other side of her. The other dogs quickly turned around. "They..um..." Blue started...Not knowing what to say, because he himself, never got any fighting scars. Many gapping wounds, but no scars. "Well...I'm going to go practice, be back any break I get." Blue promised.

'Yea I know." she said quickly, she coud see that Blue had no scars only that beautiful light blue fur.
Blue announced he was going to go to practice.
so soon?
"So soon?" she asked, and before she could stop herself, she walked a little closer to Blue and nuzzled him gently, "Have a good practice," she said quietly.

then Naira relized what she was doing.
oh my ga- I can't believe I just nuzzled him in front of all his team mates.

you have done it now Naira! the little voice in her head disrupted her thoughts



"Well, I um, have to go too," Naira replied before anyone could say anything, "the lady who owns me likes to give me a dog biscuit about now,but er, you'll find me around here I guess. It was nice meeting you all!" she called as she walked back into the woods.

He watched her go. Once she was gone he sprang up. "WAHHOOO!" He barked. Training was slow for him. C'mon....hurry up...I need to go see Naira.. He thought to himself over and over again. Once practice had ended, he didn't meet up with the team at the beach. He darted to see Naira again.

Back at the beach, the other dogs were talking. "Ooohh I think Blue's got himself a girl!" Yonic smiled. "First on in the team..." Tundra taunted. "Shut Up! You Know I woudda got that samyoed if her boy wasn't there!" Yonic growled. "Somthing tells me your...jelos-" Tundra started but Luke cut her off. "Okay, can we talk about somthing else now?" Luke damaded.

Meanwhile, Blue was looking for that house Naria came out of. He memorized it. Then, once he found it, He barked for her.

Naira sat on the front porch listening to the lady click her knitting needles together. The rocking chair she was sitting in, squeaked. Naira laid her head in her paws and nudged the hald eaten dog biscuit away from her. she did not feel like eating.
how could I just run off like that? Naira scolded herself.

Nairas ears lifted as she heard a familiar bark. A shimmer of blue fur flashed in the sun. The lady stopped knitting.

"Why Naira, you have found a friend." the old woman remarked

Naira barked to Bue in reply, ran to him, and wagged her tail in greeting.

"There you are! How was training?" she asked smiling. "oh yes and this is my owner for now," Naira nodded at the old woman who ad returned to her knitting.

"Long...kept wanting to come back to you, Oh..and there's somthing I need to do." Blue smiled. He nuzzled her. "You did it to me, I'm returning the favor." Blue smiled. "Look...I.." Blue started. Oh I hope I'm not going to fast..oh what is she gunna say?....Okay...I'm gunna say...lay it all on the table...1..2..3 "Do you wana hang out sometime?" Blue blushed.

Naira sucked in her breath as he nuzzled her gently.

oh my gosh he nuzzled me back...

Nervous as she was, Naira was enjoying it and wanted it to last a little longer.
She nuzzled his blue fur, in her own little heaven.

"Oh Blue, I-," Naira began but she cut herself off, as it looked like he wanted to say something.
"Do you want to hang out sometime?" he asked blushing.

Naira's heart was thumping so hard she thought it might pop out of her chest.

"Blue, I-I'd love to.."She whispered trying to contain her excitement, "How about tomorrow at five? You can come over and pick me up, then we can uh, go hang out." she suggested.

"Alright, five, that'll work." Blue smiled tring to act cool. Or keep his cool. He danced away back home. He had to scratch on the door to get in the house then inside, fearful if he went through the 'secret hole' in the back yard, thier owner would get suspitious.

"Hey Blue." His owner said patting his head. "Your aful late." He smiled leading him into the back fence. Spitz was in his doghouse asleep, Yonic annd Luke were talking around the corner, and Tundra was out who knows where, because she sliped through the hole in the fence.

Blue lied on his doghouse, as he did everynight, looking up at the stars. Tomarrow will be the day...The best day ever...starting at Five... He thought to himself, over and over again, until he got to tierd to think anymore and crept back into his dog house, sleeping in warmth and comfort, waiting until the next day.

Naira was a million miles in the sky as she watched Blue walk away.
I did it! she thought, I accepted without messing up
She walked back onto the porch.
The old lady paused her knitting to study the young dog.
"You are an interesting dog Naira," the lady mused. "How I wish I could speak your dog language. What were you saying to that blue husky -looking thing anyway? Oh Sophie,(the lady was talking to herself now) you still are a nosy old rascal." The old woman laughed to herself as Naira watched her bleakly. She loved the old woman, but she often wondered why the lady talked to herself.
Naira's thoughts drifted over to her date with Blue, she fell asleep with a smile on her face and his handsome face on her mind.

---- The Next day-----

Naira awoke with a yawn. Naira gasped and remembered that her date with Blue was today.
its a date?! the small voice in her head said shrilly.
Its not a date, Naira scolded the voice, we are just hanging out.
oh suuurrree, taunted the little voice. Naira ignored it and started to get ready by walking down to a nearby lake and taking a bath.

SSSNNNNOOOORRRRRCCCC! Blue woke up to the sound of Yonic's loud snoring and Luke's barking at him. He woke up alittle later than usual. "Morn'n Blue, your food and water's right by your doghouse. We don't have to go to practice today. It's our day off." Luke smiled. Blue lapped up some of the water from his bowl, and some food though he couldn't eat much out of exitment.

Blue howled with joy. Today is perfect! The best day of My life! Blue thought to himself.

Naira enjoyed the feeling of the cool water against her fur. She swam for a while then got onto shore, shook herself dry. it was then Naira realized her coat was all matted.
I look awful she muttered to herself.
Spying the old lady in the kitchen Naira went over to the bed room and got the ladies hair brush. She then returned to the kitchen and dropped the brush at the woman's feet.
The old woman laughed. "I'll be right back old girl."
Sophie (the old lady) drove to town and Naira waited for her impatiently.
Sophie returned with some dog shampoos and various grooming supplies.

After who-knows-how-long, Naira had recieved a complete fur make-over. She studied herself carefully in the mirror. This is the real Naira she whispered.

Five O'clock rolled around. Blue stoud up straight. Alright...It's time.. Blue said to himself. He looked in a puddle. "Man I wish my dad wasn't so fluffy." Blue sighed to himself. He stroked his fur with his paw the best he could. He sighed. "It'll have to do." He mumble to himself.

He walked to Naira's house. This is it... He thought, then barked. When she came out, she looked like she stepped out of a magazine. "Woah...Um...Naira..you're beautiful.." Blue said. And he ment everyword. "Ready to go?" He asked.

Naira paced nervously around the house, waiting for the sound of Blue's bark.
There it was! She peeked out the window behind a curtain and dashed towards the nearest mirror there was. She took a deep breath and walked out with a smile on her face.

She could feel Blue's eyes looking at her.

"Woah...Um...Naira..you're beautiful.."Blue said.

he means it, I can tell....

Naira's face turned a small shade of pink.

"Thank you kind sir." She replied, then said "Lets go!"
Together they walked off side by side.
Sophie watched them go from the window.

"She'll be back that one.." whispered Sophie to herself, "But I can't help worrying watching her go off with that husky fellow. Oh Sophie," she said again, "Not only are you nosy, you are a complete worrywort." The old woman laughed to herself and went back to her knitting.
