As far as I know, there is no Balto DVD that has the same cover as the VHS one. All region 2 DVDs have the same cover, which is the one shown in my first post of this topic. (I also like the vhs one better, but we haven't got much choice unfortunately...)
Thats strange then. I've found quite a few places listing the DVD but with the VHS cover... I guess they were just too lazy to get the new cover. Yeah I love the VHS cover, it's got beautiful artwork and a powerful composition.

It's strange that you got the region 1 DVD in UK, because you may not have been able to play it since it's not the same region.
I probably ordered it from Amazon.com years ago. The US probably got it released first so I maybe ordered it when it was first out.
I have a multi-region DVD player so its not a problem, such players are commonly sold here as far as I know. And also I think our TVs can usually play both NTSC and PAL. I've read that the UK, Australia and other places is more easy-going with regard to such things. But that in America etc. its almost impossible to watch stuff with a different region encoding.

Yes, all region 2 DVDs are widescreen and have the documentary, and they all have the english soundtrack too.
Oh good, I hope so. Can't find any of these listings of the DVD with the VHS cover mentioning the documentary or being widescreen... I guess I'll find out when I order.
Thanks so much for your great help, I really appreciate it!
