Late bio. Ugh, Sorry, my drawings skills aren't exactly best shown with a mouse.
Name: Anaku Gender: Male Breed: Wolf Personality: Innocent upon first impression but he has a dark heart. Anaku would kill his own parents if they stood in his way and his only wish is to become leader of the pack. He only reveals his true personality once you agree to do something for him, and he can be a bit of a flirt a times. This is often his downfall as he can fall for a trick extremely easily if played by a female. Likes:Power, getting others to do his dirty work. Dislikes: beingh held back, being outwitted. How s/he feels about King's return: Annoyed,bu at the same time slightly betrayed. He is sure some one in the packs been helping King as he thinks its the only way a wolf can survive on there own. History: up to you.

I'll do this one. Do you want us to edit it into our first posts or a put it in a new one? And do we have to include pack members, or is that optional?

Awesomeness, I'm a finalist? Yay.
I think I'll go with number 3. By the way, I think this is a pretty cool way to judge entries. I'll be working on the mini-fic thing right away!
EDIT: Ohhhhhh dear... it seems I may have gone a liittlle OTT here... *cough*1000words*cough cough*
Please tell me if Honey's personality is OOC...
Brute was now an adolescent and yet he was already the size of many of the smaller wolves of the pack. His mother and father knew he was strong enough and smart enough to have a few shifts patrolling the territory. He liked the freedom, responsibility and solitude of the job so he did it almost everyday.
It was his second week of his regular rounds and he was feeling pretty sure that there wasn’t any ‘danger’ around, so he decided to rest a little while on the high cliff. This way he could see most of the territory so he wouldn’t really even be abandoning his duties. In fact, it was probably more likely to see a strange wolf or dog here than if he was walking along the border.
There was a rustling sound and Brute quickly raised his head, sniffing the air cautiously. His very odd eyes darted left and right as he tried to catch the movement. He heard it again, and this time discovered the source.
About half a kilometre from where he was positioned he could just make out the figure of a wolf. It didn’t seem to be any sort of threat, and it seemed to be passing through the territory rather than heading towards the den-site.
But nonetheless, this was a strange wolf that didn’t belong here.
Brute swiftly scaled down the sloping side of the cliff and headed as quickly and quietly as he could. The territory marks he had left no more than a day ago should still be easily scented by any wolf. He was close to the strange wolf now, and saw him much more clearly.
His fur was three distinct shades of golden-brown and he looked as though he was a year or so older than Brute himself. Even though this other wolf was slightly bigger, Brute was sure this was only an age matter and was confident that this wolf, whoever he was, wouldn’t fair in matter of dominance in Brute’s own territory.
Brute stay low, crouched for attack; then he sprung, his aiming precise, and pinned the wolf to the ground. The wolf grunted in reply.
“What are you doing on our territory?!” Brute snarled, baring his teeth menacingly.
“Sorry, I was just passing through. I didn’t intend to –”
“And you ignored the scent markers?”
“I didn’t notice them, I was in a rush and –”
“Tell me your name!”
“I don’t think that’s any concern of yours –”
“If it was no concern of mine I would not have asked, now tell me your name or I’ll have my pack rip you apart like a caribou carcass!”
“My name,” the wolf paused, studying the face of Brute, and continued “is King.”
Brute jumped back in surprise. Surely it couldn’t be… no. He’s dead.
“Go now. Leave. If you ever set a paw over this border again I’ll crush you like an ant. Leave!” Brute snarled, and the brown wolf slipped out from underneath the large yearling, running off but still with some air of dignity. Brute began to wonder once more.
Surely, there must be… there must be hundreds of wolves with the name ‘King’. It’s not so uncommon, is it? I’ll keep it quiet for a bit…
Brute ran at a conservative pace pack towards the heart of their territory. He stumbled to a halt before his father’s massive frame.
“A trespasser on our territory it was, father.” Brute said with a faked politeness.
“What did you do with him?” asked the huge, white-ish wolf known as Boreal.
“A severe warning. He said he was just passing through.”
“One can never be too sure. Did he have a name?”
“Unimportant.” Brute replied, and with that he knew he was dismissed, so he slunk off towards where his mother was resting.
“Stray wolf, hey?” she asked as Brute took a seat beside her.
“Yes, nothing I couldn’t handle.”
Brute waited for an hour or so through the following conversation as it drifted through many topics, and when something came up about his mother’s ‘debated’ past he decided to enquire about King.
“What was King like?”
“Foolish and jealous,” answered Honey quickly.
“I mean like… in appearance?”
“Why does it matter?” Honey asked, eyeing her son suspiciously.
“It doesn’t,” he answered with the same swift cunning as his mother, “I was just curious.”
“Well, he wasn’t a particularly large wolf – last I saw him he was a little bigger than you. He was more of a golden brown… but his back marking was gold, and his underside was a darker brown. There was nothing that really stood out about him, though. He was just a loser… a failure of a son.”
Brute’s heart was racing. There was no denying it; it had been ‘that King’ in the forest today. But how can I tell mom? There’s no way I could keep this from her… she needs to know… Truth be told, Brute was actually very scared of his mother. Deep down he had a suspicion that the rumours were true and it really was her that had murdered Cassio… but Brute loved her all the same.
“Mother I… I think I saw King today.” Brute said, his tail moving from its usual dominant position to a submissive one between his hind legs.
“What?” Honey said coldly, her voice icy and full of malice.
“I… that stray in the forest… he said his name was King. I… I didn’t think…” Brute had stumbled over and was on his back, nearly whimpering in fear. Honey stared at him.
“Let me tell this to you; King… is… not… alive!” she snarled, then turned away from her son and headed off in another direction.

Allrighty, my mini-fic entry.
May have gotten carried away just a smidge...
If anythings amiss, let me know and I'll fix it.
--------------------------------------------
The Setting: Yiska's just heard one of the pack members talking about King. She decides to confront her mother and ask about him. Honey snaps that he was a failure and a traitor. Yiska tries to ask why he would betray his pack, but Honey growls and says he's dead. End of story. Slayer then comes in and orders Yiska to scout the territory.
"Why is it whenever I ask a simple question about 'the King' or Cassio, I get my head bit off?" the yellow wolf mutterd. A pine branch over head swayed as a bird landed on it, showering the young female with water leftover from last nights storm.
Yiska shook her head to get her now wet fur out of her eyes. "Thanks alot." she joked as the bird flew off. Shaking out the rest of her fur, Yiska took a quick look around. She'd scouted this area of the territory a few times before, and it was ussualy pretty quiet. Not even hunting was very good here.
A rustling sound made the female's ears swivel.
Must be another bird, she thought and continued on.
Crack. Yiska jumped and spun around. Birds did not snap branches that loudly. She tilted her head back and sniffed. A wolf.
All right, a lone wolf wanderd onto the territory, lets find out what they want, she thought. Slowly, Yiska lowerd herself to the ground and cautiously crawled foreward.
Her bright orange eyes stayed locked ahead of her, looking for any sign of movment. The scent was stronger now, and she could hear slight movment in the underbrush. She prepared to spring foreward and tackle, when the bushes to her left rustled and a large form burst from them and knocked her backwards.
"Hey!" Yiska cried as she flew back into a bush. Just her luck, it was a thorn bush. She yelped and landed with a thud on the ground.
Shaking her fur, she glared up at the form, which she could now see was a wolf.
It was male, and looked a year or so older then her. He was deffenitly larger then her, and his coat was shaded in three different shades of brown with a golden tint, and his eyes were a dark brown.
Judging by the look on his face, the wolf haden't exspected to run into, literaly, in this case, anyone.
"Whats the big idea, running me over like a caribou on a rampage?" Yiska asked, then winced as she put her paw down, only to have a thron jab into her pad.
The wolf blinked. "Sorry, I didn't see you." he apologized.
"So I noticed." Yiska jerked her head to the side, indicating the thorn bush.
The wolf gave a small, sheepish smile, then frowned a little.
Yiska looked over her shoulder, but there was nothing behind her. "What?" she asked.
The wolf shook his head. "Nothing. You, uh, just look familur. Want me to help you with that?" he offerd as Yiska tried to put wieght on her paw, only to cringe as the thorn jabbed deeper into her pad.
Yiska nodded meekly and held out her paw. The wolf leaned foreward and grasped the tip of the thorn with his teeth. He tugged gently, and Yiska yelped as the thorn slid out, leaving a small trickle of blood.
Yiska quickly licked it a few times as the wolf spat the thorn into the thorn bush.
"Thanks." Yiska said.
The wolf turned to look at her, a peculier exspression on his face. Yiska tilted her head to the side, and looked him over. He seemed, oddly familur.
"Whats your name?" Yiska asked, attempting to break the silence.
The wolf seemed suprised, but he turned away. "It doesn't matter."
"Oh, come on. How am I suppose to thank you properly if I don't know your name?" Yiska stood and lept in front of him, forcing him to stop. "Look, I'll tell you mine." she offerd. He opened his mouth, but she hurried on. "It's Yiska."
The wolf blinked and took a step back. "Nice to meet you."
Yiska smiled. "Nice to meet you to. Now whats your name?"
The wolf hesitated, his eyes darting away from her for a moment before he sighed. "It's, King."
Yiska's eyes widened and she jumped back. Now she knew why he looked familur! He fit the description of 'the King' perfectly! "W-what? Y-your, King? The King?"
The wolf nodded. Yiska starred, frozen. "B-but, mom said you were dead."
King's head snapped up. "Your mom?" he asked.
Yiska nodded numbly. "She said you died when you fell off that cliff."
King shook his head. "Well, I didn't."
Yiska just starred, her jaw slack with shock. Then, she turned and rammed her head agasint a tree. Something grabbed her scruff and jerked her back before she could do it again. Blinking, she looked up and saw King looking very concerned. "Thats new." he commented.
Yiska rubbed her paw agasint her head, it finnaly dawning on her that she wasen't dreaming and King really was standing right here in front of her.
"You okay?" King asked.
Yiska lept to her paws, her eyes suddenly bright. "Your King!" she exclaimed.
King blinked. "Uh, yes."
Yiska felt, well she wasen't exzactly sure what, but it felt like a mixture of fear and excitment. "What happened to you? How did you survive falling off the cliff? Did you really try and kill Honey? How did Cassio die?" the questions shot out of her mouth before she could stop them.
King took a step back, his exspression bewelderd. "Uhm, it's really rather-"
"Why are you back?" Yiska gasped. "Oh no. Mom can't know your back, she thinks your dead. She'll kill you!"
King looked at her curiously. "Who is your mom?" he asked.
At this, Yiska felt awkward as she anserwd. "Honey. I'm, your half-sister."

I finally finished it! Luckily before my vacation. Sorry if King is ooc.
____________________________________________
Kalic, the pup of Honey and Caiaphas, wandered around the border of the pack’s territory. Khalic paced around endlessly, thinking about King.
“Why would he want to kill mother?” Kalic asked himself.
He didn’t understand, and Kalic wanted to know very badly.
“I know I shouldn’t leave without someone knowing, but I have to. It’s the only way to find out.” Kalic mumbled.
He jumped off the rock which marked the edge of the territory. He knew he might get into trouble, but its better that not knowing. Kalic sniffed around for any unusual scents around the bushes and grass. He walked through the forest until the edge of a cliff, and he remembers,
“This is where King died... a cliff...” He softly said.
He’d always wanted to see what King looked like, but King is dead. Kalic wandered around the cliff, playing through his mind what might have happened when King fell off. Then, a sudden scent came to his nose.
‘A wolf.’ He immediately thought.
Then rustling through the forest behind him, and the rustling became louder and louder. Kalic readied himself for an attack, and then he saw the figure’s silhouette. Kalic pounced toward the figure, taken by surprise. He growled at the wolf. It was a wolf he had never seen before, with three shades of brown.
“Who are you!? Identify yourself, or prepare to brawl!” Kalic immediately said as the wolf took a few steps back.
“What does it matter to you?” The wolf said, and then added, “Does it matter for you to live?”
“No, but if YOU want to live, I’d suggest you tell me your name!” Kalic snarled.
“I won’t, it does matter that much to you.” The wolf said.
The wolf started to turn around and leave, but before he could get out of sight. Kalic charged at the wolf with bared fangs, but Kalic wasn’t quick enough; the wolf caught Kalic by the scruff and threw Kalic on the ground. Kalic immediately got up and shook the snow off of him.
“What the!? What was that for?! You could have finished me off, but you didn’t! Why?!” Kalic snapped.
“It’s wrong to fight and kill for no reason...” The male said.
“...You’re right... I’m sorry for attacking you.” Kalic told the wolf.
“Apology accepted.” The wolf said.
The male turned around and started to leave. Kalic did too, but then remembered.
“Hey! I almost forgot, what’s your name?” Kalic asked.
“It’s King, and yours is?” King said.
Kalic was surprised. He had never seen or met King before, and now, King is right before his very eyes.
“You mean King, the son of Honey?” Kalic asked.
“Yes.” King answered.
“I can’t believe this! You... you’re... you’re alive! My name is Kalic, and it’s nice to meet you King!” Kalic said.
“Nice to meet you too, but how do you know my mom?” King asked.
“King, I have a very personal question to ask you.” Kalic said.
“Yes, what is it?” King asked.
Kalic could tell that King was confused, but he always had wanted to ask King. But he never had the chance to until now.
“Why... tell me... Why do you want to kill mother!? And what was the actually story behind Cassio’s death?! Tell me right now!!” Kalic angrily yelled.
“Why did you call Honey your mother?” King asked.
“Because I’m your step brother! Now stop asking questions and tell me why!” Kalic yelled furiously.
King sighed, “Well, what I saw was that I saw mom kill my father, Cassio. Weeks later, mom found out... and they drove me off a cliff.” King ended, and then asked. “So, mom thought I was dead?” “Yes and what I heard about you was all a lie.” Kalic whispered, but just enough for King to hear. “But still, please don’t come back to the pack, mom doesn’t want to see you.” Kalic told King.
“I have to go back; mom doesn’t deserve the role as alpha. So I’m going back no matter what, and taking the role of alpha.” King said.
“...Fine, but if you come back... I will be fighting you for the role as alpha.” Kalic said.
Kalic started to head towards his pack’s border. Then turned around and said, “But I won’t go easy on you!” Kalic yelled. He smiled.
“Neither will I! May the best wolf win!” King yelled.
Both wolves started to head back home. Kalic finally figured it out, King didn’t want to kill mother, but wanted to take her role as alpha instead. Kalic was happy, he had finally figured out the mystery behind Cassio’s death. He couldn't wait until King and he would fight to see who is going to be the next alpha!
