What do you guys think of the upcoming film, Godzilla 3D AKA Godzilla vs. Deathla? Or have you heard of it? Probably so, although with movies these days it's really anyone's guess. And no, I hadn't heard of the new one coming out. When's it released?

Its directed by the same guy who made Godzilla vs. Hedorah. Supposedly, it will come out ether this year or in 2011. According to what can be found, Deathla is an alien monster that travels from planet to planet, devouring all plant-life like a plague of locusts. It has multible forms, starting as a swarm of locust-like insects, a mushroom-like form, and a bipedal final form resembling Hedorah to an extent only blood red. It arrives on Earth and awakens Godzilla from hibernation in Brazil during its feeding. The two battle several time throughout the film, ending with a climatic showdown in Los Vegas. The original final battle was supposed to take place in New York at Ground Zero but it was changed for unknown reasons.

I understand. Anyway, no concept art is out of Deathla yet, but apparently his final form is remenicent of Hedorah. I'm kinda looking forward to seeing Los Vegas get torn up in a monster brawl, that's never happened before to my knowladge. The original ending would've had Godzilla kill Deathla by slicing him into pieces with his tail (presumably with the razor sharp spines). This wouldn't be nearly as violant as it sounds considering Deathla's probably a huge pile of sludge like Hedorah, anyway, its a creative way to finish a fight. I don't know how Godzilla will vanquish Deathla in the rewrite.

Yeah I've heard about that new 3D film and I look forward to see it,Although I don't really care much 3D or anything. One thing I forgot to mention,Godzilla: Final Wars is the last Godzilla film as of 2004 since Toho has decided to retire the franchise for a period of 5-10 years to renew interest in the future and will be returning with a new film in 2014 for Godzilla's 60th anniversary.Whever or not it will continue the shinsei series or start a new one is beyond me. To give those who don't know who he is,here's a bit on Hedorah(He's also one of my favorites) the picture was fan made by that guy on DA Hedorah: Type:space bred pollution monster Alias:the Smog Monster Size: Form 1:20 meters form 2 : 30 meters Form 3: 40 meter Form 4: 60-120 meters I won't give out to much info on him except his abilities, but he is the possible inspiration for Destroyah(another favorite of mine) and is one of the most popular monsters of the entire godzilla franchise. Hedorah possesses many special abilities. As a composite kaiju formed from millions of smaller organisms, Hedorah is capable of assuming a number of different shapes to suit the particular situation. For traveling through water, Hedorah transformed into a giant tadpole monster similar to the base organism that composed it. For traveling on land, Hedorah became a four-legged pile of slime resembling a gigantic salamander and it also could assume a saucer-like shape which granted it flight capabilities. After being driven back by Godzilla several times, Hedorah assumed a gigantic humanoid shape that even dwarfed the king of the monsters. Thanks to the protean nature of its body, ordinary weapons passed right through Hedorah while even Godzilla's atomic ray was unable to inflict any lasting harm. Finally, since Hedorah fed on pollution, so long as a piece of it remained alive then Hedorah could retreat to absorb more pollution in order to regenerate itself. Hedorah's primary form of attack was by spurting globs of its own corrosive sludge at its opponent. The slime was so acidic it was even capable of scarring Godzilla's usually impenetrable hide. It was also able to project crimson energy beams from its eyes while its flying form created a byproduct of sulphuric acid mist that melted any living creature that came in contact with it down to its skeletal frame. Here's a normal picture

I know Kaijusamurai, we're actually good friends, penpal wise. I was contacted when he attempted to have a group of fanfiction writers create a series of fanfics based off his Godzilla Neo series. It failed but I've still got his ok to write Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla Neo if I want to. BTW, if anyone is intrested, here is my fanfiction.net account, the reason I'm posting it is that the majority of my fanfiction are Godzilla Fanfics, which reminds me, is it ok to post Godzilla fanfiction in the Other Fanfiction section of this site? http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1204655/KendellKendell was not my first choice for a pen name, my ex-girlfriend made my account for me originally. Once again, thanks for all the info on Hedorah, my unfinished Mothra: Toxic Terrors fanfic features Hedorah but I never got to finish it due to crippling writer's block.

I was browsing Bookman's yesterday, and I came across the Godzilla movie that was made back in 2000, and it reminded me of your name. Lol, anyway, I could spare the extra $2, so I bought it.
On good notes, I thought it was really interesting to see an Americanized version of a Japanese franchise. Really liked the CGI and the way he was modeled.
It was kinda sad, I'll admit, at the end. Yet another sci-fi drama that glorifies the aspect of human domination. You'll notice, however, that most of the damage done to the city in that movie was caused by people, not the creature itself. XP I was like, "oO Wow, fail." more than half the time. So congrats, you killed Godzilla... have fun rebuilding Manhattan. I feel as though I can go on about this, but you guys already get the gist of what I'm trying to say. XD

XD Well on one hand, humans can make a mess of things but on the other, if the Zilla's (Toho's offical name for the Americanized Godzilla) multiplied out of control like what seemed to be happening in that movie, they'd probably eat all animal life on Earth, driving thosands of animals into a quick exstinction. My opinion of Zilla is it was a good kaiju film but it was too diffrent than Godzilla for my tastes. Still I'd like to see a nice long Godzilla vs. Zilla fight, instead of the ten second battle in GFW, though realistically, Zilla would probably be dominated by Godzilla in every way, it may be fast but it'd not be able to do much that Godzilla's regeneration wouldn't overcome and likewise, Godzilla could probably do massive damage in one hit on Zilla, considering jets killed it and Godzilla battles jets without any trouble every movie. Oh and did anyone see how Toho was offered to do Godzilla vs. Gamera but turned it down?
