If I can get them, I prefer CDs. For me, nothing beats having a hard copy of something that's right there in my hands, not a piece of data that can be lost very easily.

That said, I like downloading music because I have an iPod. Ripping music from a CD messes up the sound sometimes. And it's easier to get downloaded material onto an iPod.

But still, I like my hard copies.

CDs. In my opinion, the sound quality is better.

I agree!

I don't think you guys have any idea what you are talking about :}

Why would CD quality differ in quality from digital computer formats like FLAC and WAV? MP3 is very crappy.....320 vs thousands.

Of course. I have no idea what I'm hearing.

Forgive me.

But really, it's going to be a matter of preference. If I think it sounds better to me, then it sounds better to me. You've no right to tell me if I don't know what I'm talking about; it's a matter of preference.

Uh no i was talking about quality not preference.....i prefer the raspy sound of LP records but Wav is still a higher quality format.
There was no need for those comments i didn't attack you so halt there. And i never said you have any idea what you HEARING......think before you type. and also read.

Whoa whoa whoa, I think you've got me all wrong! Definitely wasn't attacking you; sorry if I came off that way. :/

Sorry for the misunderstanding! Honestly did believe you were saying that I was wrong based on what I said was my preference. An honest mistake. I'll not let it happen again.

I like downloads. There faster and you can burn them to CD's if you want.

For me, I think CD's because you can listen to them in the car AND you can transfer the songs onto your iPod also.
