Those are just a glitch in the game. They have no reason to include an old glitch caused by the original engine of the game. They may, however, include something in its place, as they did in the past. And the 'I'll tell them were to stick it' comment is rude and unneeded.

Dakota, I agree about the pokemon following you. They did it with Pokemon Yellow, and that was back when they had really bulky games, in comparrison to the tiny DS card which carries way more data in a smaller package. I hope you can go not just to Kanto but to the other regions, how AWSOME would that be?

Sorry to double post but UPDATE! Apparently after defeating the Elite Four, one can capture Groudon (Soul Silver only) and Kyogre (Heart Gold only) and if you have both in one game, Rayquaza will appear. Also, all 493 pokemon are able to follow the player but only one at a time. Its unknown if its the first pokemon in your party or if some other mechanic will be used. The touch screen will be more heavily used as well. Cynthia from DPP will also appear somehow, as will Arceus.

Okay, there's a topic just like this on BFC so I know a lot about this game:

Kyogre is exclusive to Heart Gold
Groudoun is exclusive to Soul Silver
If both are brought to the same game it's possible to catch Rayquayza
Any pokemon can follow ya around
Celebi can be caught in the game(most likely by an event triggered from the special pikachu(s))
The two pikachu can be gotten with a pre-order of the game
Arceus will be available somehow
It may be possible to catch either a plakia, dilaga, or giratina after getting arceus
There will be a pokewalker thing that can be bought(this will let ya put a pokemon inside it and it will simulate what the day care does by walking around it raises the pokemon's level)

Actually, the information I got says that the PokeWalker comes with the game.
The enlarged DS boxes are proof of this.

Yeah, it's a real thing that ya can transfer one pokemon in and when ya walk around with it the pokemon will slowly raise it's level like the day care.

UPDATE: The english pokemon site has been updated with information about the new games, in addition to a new trailer.

It has been confirmed that it will be released in North America and Europe in Spring of 2010. Australian and South Korean release dates have not been released yet.

Here's the link to the official site where you can watch the trailer: http://www.pokemon.com/#heartgoldsoulsilver

Additional information about the games can be found here: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/ ... r_Versions

I'm just gonna re-post my earlier notes, along with some more information to bump the topic up. Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver has already been released in Japan and Korea, and it will be released in North America on March 14th (just eight more days for me! :D ). It will also be released in Australia on March 25th, and in Europe on March 26th. So, it's not much longer before most of the world's Pokemon fans can have it.

However, HG/SS is far more than just a straight remake. There are several new additions that will excite old fans and new players alike.

Here's a list of all the major changes:

- Updated graphics and sound for the Nintendo DS system. Once you have all 16 badges however, you can obtain a key item called the GB Sound, which allows you to revert the game's soundtrack to the original chiptunes from Gold/Silver/Crystal. That is sure to please some old fans.

- There are some added routes to Johto, west of Cianwood City: Routes 47 and 48. These lead to two other areas: The new Johto Safari Zone and the HIdden Tower

- The Battle Tower from Crystal has been replaced with a full Battle Frontier. This BF has the same layout as the one found in Platinum

- There is a new sidequest called the Pokeathlon, which is much like the olympic games, but for pokemon. It is analogous to the Pokemon Contests found in the Hoenn and Sinnoh game.

- Most of the areas in Kanto that were reduced in G/S/C have been restored to their full former glory. The original Viridian Forest has returned, as have the Seafoam Islands cave and the Cerulean Cave. The only place that has still been reduced is Mt. Moon

- The first pokemon in your party now follows you around like the Pikachu did in Pokemon Yellow. However, it could be any pokemon that will follow you, from Bulbasaur to Arceus. Also, shininess is retained in their overworld sprite.

- Many more legendary pokemon are available in this game than the originals. The originals had just Suicune, Entei, Raikou, Lugia and Ho-oh.
- HG/SS have those and they also include:
- The legendary birds of Kanto, which can be found in the same locations as in FR/LG (except Moltres, which is in Mt. Silver).
- In the aforementioned Hidden Tower, you can find Kyogre (HeartGold) or Groudon (SoulSilver). When you bring both of them back to the Hidden Tower, you unlock Rayquaza.
- You can once again find Mewtwo in Cerulean Cave
- Also, roaming around Kanto will be either Latias (HeartGold) or Latios (SoulSilver)

- After meeting certain conditions, you can have rematches with all 16 gym leaders and the Elite Four. They will all have different, stronger teams for the re-matches.

- Once you have all 16 badges, you can talk to Prof. Oak and he will give you one of the Kanto starters.
- Likewise, you can also talk to Steven Stone in Silph Co. to obtain one of the Hoenn Starters.

- The touchscreen is also used much more, as you can now navigate the Main Menu, Bag, Party interface, equipped items and PC storage with the touchscreen. This sorting through long menus much easier than previous games.

There are many, many more changes present, but these are the biggest ones that you will find. I so happy that these games are coming out, and I pre-ordered them at my local Gamestop to ensure that I would get a copy. I'm looking forward to them, and I hope that other people are too.

All great reasons to own a DS! I can't wait for this game!

Otherwise I'll tell them where to stick those games and keep playing the originals

You do know that is missingno. It was a flitch in red & blue, I can't really say if it was in silver or gold.
We have 6-7 more days til it is launched. It should be out on the 13th of this month. I will be getting it & then back it up on my SD card. ^_^

(I probaly replyed to an old post :P)

I just got SoulSilver Version today, and I must say that is probably the best pokemon game I have ever played! It's mostly the same old game, but here and there you'll find minor tweaks that differ from the original games. Already, I can say that this is a must have for any pokemon fan. It's great fun for people like me who enjoyed the original G/S/C, and it will be fun for new people who didn't get to play the Gen 2 games.

Can honestly say I haven't played a Pokemon game since Blue and Red but something inspired me to get back in it so i picked up HeartGold yesterday, So far it's been a walk through nostalgia and I'm really enjoying it. since it's only the second generation i do remember some of the Pokemon but so far it's about 50/50 for what I recognize and what I don't.

^ Yeah, there are a few areas that have been rearranged, like Union Cave and Route 35, but for the most part, it's still the same game. Being a Red/Blue player, I'm sure you'll love the part after the Elite Four, as you get to travel through Kanto. In the original Gold/Silver, many areas were reduced/removed, like Viridian Forest and the Seafoam Islands. However, in the remakes, those areas return to their full glory, which will be sure to please long time fans.
