Luke hid amongst the junk in the junkyard, he spotted a beautiful golden wolf. 'Wow.' He thought, the scruffy street dog emerged from the old broken down car he was hiding in and went to get a closer look, his black fur made him blend in with the shadows and the only things visible were his icy blue eyes and his front left paw. He looked at his reflection in a sheet of ice and smoothed down his shaggy and scruffy fur, but the fur on his head stayed up. He peered out of the fence then noticed how close he was to the female who had not yet noticed him, out of shyness he stumbled back into a bunch of trash cans, making a loud clashing noise. "Ow!" He exclaimed, rubbing his head with his paw.

Jessy's ears perked up as she heard such a loud bang,it nearly made her jump. She noticed a dog, rubbing his head with his paw,she asumed as he banged into the trash cans. She padded up to the male "Are you alright?"She asked as she came closer to him.

Chris shrugged "nothing much Bandit, just kindof wishing Jessy was here"He said "It;s kindof boring and a bit crazy without her"He sighed once more, maybe he could find a she-wolf like her,but tht won't be right.

"You don't want that half breed" snapped Bandit coldly. But you do, said his thoughts he quickly shook them off. Bandit was the result of his parents telling there only son that half breeds were useless and dogs were evil.

Jessy smiled "That's good"She said "Well,I'm Jessy, but call me Jess for short!"Jessy grinned with the wag of her tail. Jessy then remembered why she was here, and titled her head. "By the way,Luke,do you know where Balto or Jenna is?"She asked him.

Chris got to his paws, growling. "But Jessy was different"He defended,he was so brotherly to Jessy,he would always defend her. "She's just like was but with a uqine touch to her"

Bandit growled back "She's worthless" he snarled "Hybrids are useless at best, They're the scum that taints ure blood lines" he growled.

Roland trotted up smiling "Baltos at his boat" he interupted before smiling evily at Luke "I was hoping to,ahem, have a little talk with you" he smiled.

"She asked me not you, you have no right to interrupt other dog's conversations." Said Luke.

Chris was on the edge to attack Bandit, but kept trying to keep his cool. "And her father saved so many, she's the daughter of Balto! We should be happy for she has a worthy family,I bet she's stronger then all of us!"

Jessy stepped in between them."Don't you dare fight,There is no need or I'll go ahead and join along, and believe me I'll rip both of you to pieces"She growled, glaring at both of them.

"I wasn't fighting and I'm not about to..I may be a worthless scruffy street-dog but I'm no fighter...I don't hve it in me." Replied Luke, he sighed before walking away.

Bandit growled "Fine!" he yelled "Go along and play with the worthless half breed" he spat before walking off.

"You got the worthless bit right" Roland called after Luke.He walked straight past Jessy and barged into the stray on purpose.

Luke was wrong about that, he did have it in him, he growled then rammed into Roland. "Isn't it rather dangerous to use one's entire volcabulary in a single sentence?"

Jessy already didn't like Roland, but liked Luke better, but any rough housing was to much for her to stay cool. She growled as she jumped in between them yet again. "I warned you both once,no one is worthless,so there"

Chris growled "I will then!"He said, then started his journy to Nome. he wasn't as fast as Jessy, but he was pretty quick. Lucky for him,if the weather was nice,He would be they by nightfall.

"You seem to be fine doing it" snarled Roland. He rammed Luke and pinned he young mixed breed "What you gonna do about it? Bite my paw?" he said waving his paw mockingly in front of Lukes face.

Luke snarled but could tell that jessy no longer wanted them to fight. "You win." He said simply.

Roland smiled and stepped off "See ya worthless" he said as he walked off.
