People here just seem to be incapable of swallowing their pride and instead prefer to just argue the whole time or find a reason to create unnecassary drama.
About reporting, it's preferred if you say nothing. See something against the rules, just click the report button and we'll see it and deal with it. Saying, in any way, that you reported them just leaves it wide open for people to start going "omg why did you report me!?! D8<". I bet it is very annoying to have so many people not listen, and carry on their problems. They should give the moderators more respect, you guys work a lot harder than people would think, I'm sure.Star_Fire wrote: I agree with this rant full heartedly Don't whine just because you can't always adopted that pup you been wanting, believe me, that has happened to me more than once. But I never whinned or acted different than my age, even if people don't beleive me that I am 22 years old who loves cartoons. That is there fault if they don't believe my age. Yeah. I mean, if all you're going to do is whine and moan about not getting your way, why are you here in the first place other than the attention? I guess I was raised differently; it just not really sicken or disgust me, but it makes me feel indisposed when I see people whining about things like that.DB1 wrote: Conay wrote: Alex Shepherd wrote: Yeah, but, the mods already have their hands full. And I know people report them, and I know they get in trouble for it, but not everyone is going to listen to someone who isn't a mod. Y'know? You don't exactly have to say: "Reported!!!!11!!!11!!", a simple, kind message is what you should give. Whenever i report somebody/something (and i have before, trust me) i usually DON'T tell them--it adds on to the suprise when they get a message saying "topic locked". In response to the topic: being new (and 15 yrs. old) i actually agree because these topics have been happening a lot (especially since i've gotten here). Not only is it immature, but also VERY ANNOYING. I'm happy when those people get banned, i won't lie. That's why I don't really come on here anymore. I used to be on this site all the time but then things changed. I got tired of seeing everyone fighting and getting upset over the most ridiculous of things. I mean, really guys, come on. If you're however-old-you-say why not act like it?

I agree this is annoying, mostly a lack of respect. However, some people really can't help it, they have anger management problems or are actuelly children. However, with some things, such as Star Fire liking cartoons. I'll admit it without shame, I'm 17 and I still watch Dora the Explorer and such, simply because I can find some form of enjoyment in them, more because I ignore the asking the viewer parts. Growing up doesn't mean growing out of everything you liked as a kid. My mom says I'll grow up and lose my love of Godzilla, I don't think its gonna happen. In relevence to this topic, there's a problem with not growing up enough, but my point is its sometimes a bigger problem to grow up TOO much. If more people kept the 'childish' imagination, the ability to dream, in my mind the world would be a much better place, or at least cartoons would be better.

JerseyCaptain wrote: Sorry for the double post, but no one has posted in this topic for a while (as can be seen by a simple date check). I saw an item today, on AOL's home page, which graphically demonstrates the mentality of many of the supposedly "mature" members of this site (and I will not go into age, because I know it would generate responses much like the tone of the ones in this linked article I'm about to post). It's a PERFECT example of the kind of knee-jerk overreaction evident from MANY site members, including some staff members as well, to things which they should never have overreacted: http://www.asylum.com/2009/08/11/european-vacation-leads-to-hilarious-break-up/?icid=main|main|dl2|link4|http%3A%2F%2Fwww.asylum.com%2F2009%2F08%2F11%2Feuropean-vacation-leads-to-hilarious-break-up%2FEnjoy!  I know I did...especially when the similarities became so obvious so very quickly... Pffthaha! This made my morning! Wow that was just.. amazing. I have to say that is a PERFECT example of how a lot of people over react. Kudos to you for finding it. :p Godzillawolf wrote: I agree this is annoying, mostly a lack of respect. True, I agree with you on a couple of things. I'm 17 and I still go to ToysRUs/roll around on the floor with my dog, hah. And, no, you don't have to lose interest in everything you liked as a younger child and such. But, you still have to grow up enough to the point where you won't shout at people for no reason, overreact, or treat people with disrespect when they're trying to help you. But everyone has different opinions on things, and it's good to state them! Especially in a cam and collect manner. c: Also, I apologize for not replying to anything lately. Been busy. ._.;

Not to bring a dead topic back or anything (though in my view I'll just get chewed out for making a similar topic, so I see no problem in it), but I read a post today that make me laugh XD
After asking opinions on a 'fan character' matter, and getting replies, someone replied: "Who asked you? Who's side are you ON, anyway?! I thought you were my friend."
...not the best example, but a childish response just the same. This IS a site for children (and I think many members constantly forget that), and I expect some members to act child-like. But it'd still be nice if they thought about what they post before posting. I knew even as a young kid myself that those kinds of comments are uncalled for, and immature.
I just correct them, ignore, and go on my way.

Okay, so I'm a big on protesting and signing petitions and ect. and I found something about Arial hunting in Alaska and stuff like that and it gave me something to Copy and Paste and send out in a e-mail with the link for the petition and info about the cause and other ways to help it, so I made a topic and put it up. The next day I checked it, I had one reply and I was like 'Oh, hopefully someone signed it or agrees' and stuff, but when I looked at the post I saw that I was dead wrong.Here is what he said Quote: foolish people who think they can change the world!
Personally, I'm gonna need a better reason to take this action than simply because they were in a Twilight movie... and believe me, we get enough of that as it is already. XD
By the way, wanna compliment you on your plagiarism. The way you just copy and paste with links indicates you've put no effort into this and obviously don't care as much as you might sound like you do I instantly posted, hurt that he would say that, do you agree he was wrong to say this?
