He gritted his teeth from irritation. "End up killing me in the end because you hate all werewolves, think we're scum, and want to kill each and every one of us?"

Jacob clenched hte bars furiosly. "And why's that? Because some wolf jeered at you when you were little?"

Jacob jumped back automatically, shocked and taken aback. Unable to help it, he knelt down on his side of the bars and reached through but hesitated adn drew his hand back. "Are you okay? I didn't mean anything, just trying to get on your nerves and, hopefully, get loose. You can tell me what happened. I'll try to see your side of things."

Jacob shrugged. "You don't." It was simple and ahrd but it was very true. "You don't know me;I don't know you. But if I'm here to die, I don't suppose it matters what I do with it. You can just kill me."

"You're kind killed my family," Jacob retorted. "BNut you don't see me trying to kill all of you. Our kind don't have to live this way. Mos tof us try to ignore each other, not wipe hte other out. Why don't you stop this game? It's gotta be hard. Fidning werewolves and killing htem dead, or torturing. I mean, what will you do when you wake up aand we're all dead? What then?"

"I meant wiht your life! You've made murdering your life's workbut have you forgtton that you cant die? Only one of us can kill you so you'll be forced to wander, alone! Is that what you want?" Jake snarled.

Jacob leaned forward so his lips were almost at the small crack adn whispered, "Start anew. Tehre's plenty of things to do out there. Teh world's still beuatiufl, you just have to open your eyes."

"So find something," Jake whispered. "Recapture the bit of peace in ytour life that you lost. See the beauty again."
