Suhi cautiously inched forward, her tail twitching slightly. What was this thing? she wonderd. Her nostril flared as she tried o pick up a scent, but she smelt nothing unusual. Huh. That was strange. She stopped before the shimmering air, the fur on her hackles and alomg her spine raising in apprehension. She shook her head, trying to clear it of the buzzing sound she heard as she got nearer. She cautiously stepped back, creeped out on many levels.

Bic:// Soka traveled up the rough rocky mountains in Siberia, silent as the air itself. She should have been looking for prey, but she had reasoned that she would find plenty later. After all, spring time always brought the mountain goats' population up to the maxiumum. Neglecting her duties for survival for a few hours wouldn't kill her. She was much to curious in the stange sound coming from a cave in the maze of rock. She could see it now, the stange patch of air that seemed to be solid enough to move. Soka sat on the rock a few feets under it and stared at the patch of air, trying to make sense of it. The sound coming from it was high-pitched and inconsistence, like a strange song with no real melody that Soka could hear. It reminded Soka of the really snowy days in Siberia. No real reason why, but she could see herself in the snow as she listened more closely to the strang noise. As she stared more intently, the shimmerings in the air seemed to have a whitish silver to it. Like very thin snowflakes...

Mundoo finished off the last of his dinner, a small yellow finch that had almost gotten away from him. It was a very stange meal because right after he had caught the bird, he pleaded that he needed to life and find where the strange silence came from. Mundoo put the poor crazy bird out of his misery, but he was very curious about the finches ravings. How can you hear silence? In that instant, Mundoo took flight and returned to the fence post he had been in when he spotted the bird. He closed his eyes and listened intently. But there was nothing. Before he took of, he realized that there was something. To his left, he heard the cars and traffic of Washington D.C. But to the right... nothing. He flew quickly towards the silence and entered a long ago abandoned park. It was in the open, but at the center was same sort of black things. Like black sand had been thrown in the air and stayed there, but the grains where too far abart for the black space to be all that noticable. And though the sounds of D.C. where everywhere, there seemed to be nothing, no wind or russle of grass or buzzing of insects, coming from the center of the park.

Tadi ran through the trees of a Wyoming forest, chasing after a butterfly. She jumped over a fallen tree and was knocked the the ground by a powerful wind. She fell with a yelp, but quickly sat up again. She looked around, but everything was still again. Than another strong gust of wind blew back Tadi brown fur. She cocked her head at the abnormality as the wind stopped just as suddenly as it had started. She took a few steps in the direction of the wind and stood, waiting for it. Again, it came. The wind. And again, it stopped. Tadi looked around to see if anyone was around, but she seemed to be completely alone. Not even a chimpunk in sight. So she ran towards that wind, and against it when it blew. As she seemed to be getting closer to what ever it was, the wind seemed to bet stronger and it was soon a struggle for Tadi to walk toward it. She fell forward when it seemed she had walked through a wall of wind. She looked behind her as saw the leafs to being blown by the wind, but it was almost like she was behind the wind. She looked in front of herself and was right in front of a sparkling shimmer. It sounded like a storm of sort, hurrican maybe, was going on on the other side. Tadi leaned her head to look around the shimmer, but the forest looked just the same on the other side. She put a paw through the shimmer, and it felt like cold water. She pulled her paw out, but it was not wet. She looked from her paw to the shimmer and back again. She out her paw in once more, and nothing happened. A little more than freaked out, Tadie ran the other way. Maybe it was the wind, but it seemed like she was flying through the air much faster than ever before.

Tau wondered away from his mother, like he often did. He wonered if she still didn't noticed her just gave up on trying to keep him with the others. He was almost an adult anyhow. He could take care of himself. He bounded off across th Australian island of Tasmania with no destination in mind, That was until he smelt the fire. Curiousity took over the small black mammal, and he headed in that direction of the fire. But when he got there, there seemed only to be some strange spot of air that seemed to be reddish in color and emitting heat. Tau stepped closure and heared the crackling of fire coming from the other side. Not thinking it through, Tau assumed the fire must be coming from inside the strange shimmering air and walked right through it. It was warmed for the first to steps through the shimmer, but than it seemed to get hotter and hotter every second. Tau made a noise of help, thinking himself inside the flames, but there was no where to go. Just black.

Ooc:// I kind of personalized thier 'shimmers' by what happenes to them after going through the gate. One question, after going through, will they end up in the same place?

Anaku took a step back, Every instinct telling him to run. But His muscles locked in place, REfusing him to leave. He Took a deep breath, His Body shaking. Run,run,run,run,run,run,RUN! his thoughts begged him but he payed no head. Without thinking He took a step forwards, Then another. Soon he was only millimetres away from the portal. Through it he could see distorted shapes FLowing and changing. Then Disspearing alltogether from his feild of view. Then Suddenly He could Hear no more, His ears pricked in sudden fear. He knew there was a stream,And Birds had been calling seconds ago but now...Nothing. Except,Maybe, A voice calling him from The Portal. Soft,Amost singing, There was a certain melody to it the reminded him of many things. Of The oft Crunch of snow under his paws, Of The warm meat of a fresh kill, Of His fur rubbing against another wolfs so many years ago. He Tried to step back but his body wouldnt allow him. His thoughts were drowsy, Blank...No longer begging him to run, No loger begging him to do anything really. The fear had vanished and he was filled with a strange sleepy almost confidence. He stopped himself just walking through and watched the portal,Undecided as yet.

(Rose that's fine, I don't mind, and the intention was that they all ended up in sort of the same place so that they can explore the new world a little bit on their own before actually meeting anyone, but it is completely up to you. I want you to all act as if you own this roleplay (but no being mean or throwing people out, that's for me to decide to do) plotwise, so twist it how you like, and I like the idea about the portals being personalized.)

Kyak polished off his meal with relish, it was good to feel full and warm. He ruffled his feathers against a cool wind that blew over the field, but there was something else, something he couldn't quite put his claw on. He shook it out of his head and glided silently back over the field to his original perch, he was only about half way when the wind blew again, and the strangeness about it was a lot stronger. There was a certain...warmness to the air. Living where he did, Kyak didn't experience many hot days, or even warm days, so for the wind to feel warm at this time of year was a bit of a shock. He landed, bruising the bottoms of his feet from landing too hard, and turned his head to face where the wind was coming from. His brilliant vision allowed him to see a slight distortion at the far end of the field, like you would see about a road on a hot day.

Lailli took a few steps closer, the stillness of the forest overwhelming her acute senses. She flicked her ears at any noises that came from the patch, and as she neared it she sniffed at it, her nose just brushing the edge of the patch. It sent an ecstatic tingle from her nose all the way to her tail, a sense of freedom that she had never experienced before. It frightened her, but it felt so good as well. She poked at it with her paw, and as it passed through the air, it seemed to disappear as if in thick mist, and at the same time she could feel the cool of a breeze on the other side. Her fear vanished, the breeze had felt cool but welcoming, and her experience with the patch had been nothing but good. Slowly, and still cautiously, she crept through the patch, and the last thing that disappeared was the tip of her tail before the patch itself vanished.

Kyak hovered close to the shimmering patch, watching it curiously. It flickered like a flame, changing it's form all the time in the same writhing way that a flame shared with a snake. He wondered what a heat spot was doing at this time of year, and with the weather being so cold. But what confused him more was how the spot was so small, it didn't stretch across a large area like they usually did, it was about the size of a large fox but as it flickered it got larger and smaller all the time. Kyak flew closer, landing on the wet ground in front of this strange anomoly. With his keen eyes he could see details in the patch that he knew weren't on the other side, and one of them shone like a bead of water in the sunlight. His magpie-like instinct made him caw happily and dive towards the shining thing inside of the patch, not caring about any dangers.

Lailli emerged from the choking darkness that had surrounded her as she had stepped into the patch. When her feet had left the familiar ground of her forest she felt like she was falling but didn't seem to be going anywhere. She had tried to catch of hold something, or twist her body round so that she could land on her feet, but she didn't know which way was up, and so she had just fallen. And than suddenly she had emerged from the horrifying darkness, but didn't know how. What she walked into was not her forest, it was a barren wasteland full of red rock and searing heat. The cool breeze she had felt could not have come from here. She shook her head to clear it and stepped forwards, but felt her bacl become strangely heavy. Worried she had hurt herself, Lailli turned her head to stare in amazement at the two white wings now attatched to her shoulders. They were drooping uselessly on the floor, as she had not been holding them up.

Anakua Steeped through, And immediatly collapsed to the floor, Every Muscles felt like it weighed more than wice his boidy weight. Eventually he stood up, But he felt different, He looked back at His fur and gasped,He Was jet black with streaksof crimson red. He spunaround, Looking at every inch of his new body that he could see. Then He though of something, Why was he here? He remembered the voice,Was it a voice? and then...This. He sat down and looked around,Confused.

Mugon raced into the protal without knowing,She felt like shed fallen onto a hard river,If that made any sense.She tood up shakily, Feleing a new power flowing through her. She blinked and licked ehr paw.
