Shadow looked at cayden "what do you mean?I havent been thrown ot as you put it im only lost my human still wants me." he scrathched and became a little less confident when he noticed his collar was missing ,his ears perked up as he heard singing "whos that" he asked then without waiting for nan answer he rushed off at top speed coming to a halt almost nose to nose with choker "oh..Hi" he barked with his tail going at a hundred,not realising his well looked after apearence made him one of the most unwelcome dogs with strays

Josh turned the corner to see a very familiar face. "Well, well, well," he greeted Choker. "Good morning to you, Choker." He then turned to the newcomer with a smile. "And who's this?" He circled around the grayhound, clearly half-satisfied with his stench. "You must be new around here if you have the very faint smell of humans on you..."

Shadow stepped backwards "actually I'm not staying,I need to get home,but the only dogs ive asked cant give me any directions to little horses stadium" he looked at Josh. "my names shadow unfortunately I cant find my collar and-hello who's this?" a young man was advancing towards the dogs with a muzzle and cage.the van behind him bared the words: City Dog Pound

"Dang!" Josh barked. "Get out of here! This guy captures dog and places them in the bad place." He then growled at the human and jumped onto him, planning that at the distraction to get the others away. "I'll hold him off. You two just get to somewhere safe!"

Shadow was taken aback by joshes attitude "but..hes a human,Why would he hurt us?" he was confused and the sudden action wasn't helping,a man started getting out of the van "hey josh behind y-" a hand gripped shadows jaw "youre not going anywhere" whispered the dog warden as shadow was thrown into the back of the van "what the?" he scrabbled at the door.

Jazz trotted along the sidewalk, just enjoying the free time that she had. She wondered where all the other dogs were as she caught sight of the tail end of a dog pound van turning the corner with a couple of barks that followed. "Oh no..." Jazz groaned as she took off down the sidewalk. She skidded around the corner just in time to see a very confused looking greyhound getting loaded into the van. Jazz slunk around the side of the van and waited until the men went back to the front of the van before she hopped up on her back paws and began nosing at the lock. She growled in frustration, the lock was harder to open than she expected. "Stupid lock..." she growled just as she clamped her jaws on the hatch. She turned her head to the side and the door popped open. "C'mon!" she hissed to Shadow "unless you want to be taken to jail!" Jazz landed on all four paws and waited for the greyhound to hop out of the van before she took off again.

Shadow was surprised but gathered that staying out of the van was probably a better Idea than staying in it.he jumped out and looked round as the van drove off "I realy need to get home" he muttered before turning to the others "okay why havnt any of you got humans,Who were they and what in the world is goin on?" he asked

Jazz rolled her eyes and muttered to herself. "Typical house dog...never says thank you..." Jazz said, slightly hurt. "Listen pal," she said, swinging around to face Shadow. "Wanna know why you're out here? Wanna know why you don't have a collar anymore, or why none of us have people? It's because they've abandoned us and they've abandoned you. You live on the street now, you'll learn that you don't need a clueless person to control you life and that you can survive on your own." Jazz bowed her head slightly, not wanting to hurt Shadows feelings. "And you're gonna have to learn that...that your people ain't coming back...you're on your own now..."

"no!" exclaimed shadow "my people do want me,I am wanted even if you lot aren't!" he rushed out on to the main road he looked right and left "which way?" he muttered to himself he raced down a few streets and found a small garden there was a bang and a yelp then a man came out with a greyhound slumped in wheelbarrow,shadow raced off finally stopping in an alley way and spoke,more to himself than anyone "I am wanted,I am wanted,I am wanted." he whispered.

Buster let out a half-heart chuckle as he watched the action unfold in front of him. He then turned the corner to meet Shadow, seeing how he was so confused in the brand-new world. "Just trust me," he said, his voice gruffy and deep as he spoke. "You're not going to survive here unless you accept the fact that you've been left behind for good. Those humans back there..." He shook his head before adding, "They capture dogs for a living. That's why we survive in hiding when they're not around." He sighed heavily and started walking past him. "If you really need help, I suggest you trust those other street dogs. I'm kinda busy at the moment...."

Josh then made a break for it, panting heavily when the humans finally gave up. Man, that dog as no idea about life on the streets, does he? he asked himself. He then sighed and shook his head before going on his way. I can't afford to be late. Not today!...

Josh just sighed and rolled his eyes. "What do you want now, Jamie?" he said, apparently annoyed once again. "And weither or not Choker is my girlfriend is none of your business... But for the record, we're just friends." He turned to Choker with a softer gaze and nodded. "Let's go," he finally added. He then looked back at Jamie with a harsh glare before trotting on down the alleyway.

"Hey!" Josh cried. "Leave her alone!!" He then leaped onto Jamie and bit him on the scruff, trying to pull him off. He just couldn't bear the sight of seeing his crush get hurt like that...

Buster then sighed heavily and shook his head as eard another fight going on. "Tsk, tsk, tsk," he said disapprovingly. "Male dogs have no respect for the females these days..."
