"I-I can't do this..." he said and turned to walk away, but he couldn't seem to walk away from her. "I'm Dev.." he said quietly over his shoulder "I'm sorry..." he said and began walking away. Dev turned aroud to see the principal talking to Shay. He frowned, feeling anger rise up in him. He walked over to the principal and said "sir that was my fault, please take back what you said about Ms. Raven and give the detention to me instead. Just because I'm new here doesn't give me an excuse. But please, that was not Sha- I mean...Ms. Raven's fault."
