Like the recent one Bolt. I liked Bolt, I thought it was cute and pretty good but can anyone see it being a classic like Lion King, Bambi, Beauty & the beast, infact, most of the early 2D animated Disney films.
You get my feeling. I haven't seen it, but it really has nothing in its story to be considered as a "classical", there's nothing that clearly makes a difference with live-action films.

To me, the computer is doing the animation for you and I don't believe that anything made on a computer can have as much heart and character as something had drawn.
Same thing too, and I think that 3D will never achieve this. They're trying to, but no 3D gives as much feeling and emotions to the characters than 2D.

I don't think traditional animation will pick up again until they start actively working on making it "cool" again.
AND I agree with this again : it's all a matter of image. As long as Disney will make stupid mistakes like making a 3D show with Mickey for 3-years old, or make only DTV sequels to their animated films (even if I like them, they are no match to the original films), they will never give 2D a good image again.
I still think that maybe, the situation will stabilize and that there could be as many 2D animated films as 3D, when people will realize that they are really two different things and that 3D does not replace 2D (or the other way round)

That was essentially a 2D film BUT they used 3D animation so that it could work WITH the 2D designs.
In fact, almost all of the 2D animated films starting from the 90's included 3D effects for some scenes, and as long as it's not too noticeable, I can't see anything wrong with this - if it allows for a quicker production and reduced costs, I'm all for it.
But please, give us DRAWN characters.

I was rather shocked when I went looking for a Spirit fan-site and found not a single one... any I did find hadn't been updated in years and were neglected.
That could be solved soon
