On the other hand, people - If you don't know who Jade Goody is, PLEASE don't post.

All Jade wanted was "£££".
The only reason she was even classed as a celebrity was because she won the normal Big Brother and frankly, shouldn't have been allowed to enter the Celebrity one.

YES. That IS racist. Comments like that are exactly what lead to worse ones and eventually violence directed to people from other countries and having a so-called celebrity be ALLOWED to do that ON national television would have been an absolute disgrace. Jade deserved all the hassle she got over that. Just because Shilpa is a Bollywood (indian) celebrity doesn't mean she deserves to be shunned and called names like that.

It's people who follow the example of Jade and call people things like "Poppadom" (which is the correct spelling btw) that cause all the street fights and make Britain, particularly the council estates where most people who do that publically live, an awful place to live.

Back to the cancer thing, she's not a "legend" either. Lots of other celebrities have/have had cancer, including cervical cancer, and she won't be the last either.
Not to mention the numbers of regular people who have Cervical cancer and get nothing like the attention Jade got. Just because she was "famous".
While her death will mean more people feeling sad than usual, it's nothing new. Tons of other celebrities have died of diseases.
And please... don't even go down the "relatives of other people who've died of cancer don't mind because it raises awareness" route. I have had relatives who've died of cancer.
Plus, charities like Cancer Research UK raise just as much awareness.

Sorry Conray, you people are allowed to post their opinions within reason and just because we say negative things does not mean you can block us off.


Anyway Jade Goody and her life in "fame" is what is wrong with a lot of the celebrity culture these days. Jade Goody appeared on a very bad reality TV show, said some racist things and became famous for the whole controversy. She was a nobody before. Oh and yes what she said may of been light but it was still racist and YOU DON'T SAY IT ON A TV SHOW. Thats just asking for trouble in my opinion.

Now when she was diagnosed with Cancer she went into the lime light again. Why? What about all those other people with cancer? Where is there fame? Oh wait, they don't get it because they did not act like an idiot on TV. As everyone keeps saying she did not deserve to die and any good things including policy changes that her short few weeks of life affected is good but she is no wonderul person, no hero or legend. She is just someone who the press latched onto like a little lapdog and milked her story to the end.

You say Jade Goody was a nobody before Celeb BigBrother (And no, Big Brother can sometimes be brilliant, others - Not so good), treating her as racist, is a pathetic move - It just goes to prove the world's going crazy, Heck! She never deserved to be on the "Darkside", if you really want someone racist, PLEASE, visit the BNP Website (Although, I agree with there Immigration Policy, however - Lets not change the subject), Jade Goody was a simlar version of Princess Diana (Whom I seem to have a liking for), they both changed (Or in Jade's case, will change) People's lives, and thats whats important!

Keep setting up those strawmen Conray. What Jade said was a mockery of her race, even if it was light. Just becuase it was light does not mean its OK. On top of that Baw baw blacksheep is not racist as its sung about a sheep that has black wool. Thats a real trait in sheep and was not meant to offend whereas Jade Goody's comment was.

Oh and there are varying levels of racisim btw. But as said, all levels should be discouraged. Even more so on NATIONAL TV.

Princess Diana used her postion and power to do far more and was a good person. She earned her fame unlike most of the Royal Family and so many other nobodies who go on these reality TV shows. She had a decent personalty and did a lot. She knew how to act. Yes both have changed things but Diana is far more deserving of praise then Jade who is no legend.



Exactly. This is why these shows are so bad. They are a load of idiots messing around in some little house for a load of other idiots to watch and vote on. You don't want people from those shows getting fame unless they actually are of decent character and intellgence which are not. Jade is an example of this.
