Why did Ramases II hate the jews so much? Why did Hitler hate the Jews and other minorities so much? Why did oppents of the Civil Rights Movment hate blacks so much? Steal was fueled by plain and awful racism. It had nothing to do with Balto's affection for Jenna. Steele was just racist and his own over-inflated ego refused to allow any consideration that someone of mixed breed, let alone of wolf heritage, could be better at him than something.

You're right in saying that it is a stretch to compare Hitler to Steele, but the similarties are there. Both were ruthless, efficent killers who were willing to do anything to get what they wanted. In my opinion, Steele's hatred for Balto was no different than Hitler's hatred of jews, blacks, poles, or gypsies. They were racists, simple as that.

I've had some time to think, and I realize I'm not a hundred percent right. Although Steele's racism has alot to do with his hatred for Balto, he hated just about everybody. The real reason Steele hated Balto is because he never learned to follow the greatest of all commandments: love your neighbor as yourself.

Who said anything about religion. I was just giving some words to live by that Steele never learned. As a matter of fact, I have not been living by these words myself on this topic, especially towards you Jersey Captain. I'm sorry, will you forgive me?

But I still maintaint that racism was the corner stone in Steele's pyramid of hatred.

By nature,pure dogs dislike wolves, Balto is half wolf, and he is jelaus, because balto is really a better sled dog than he and don´t forget that Jenna prefer Balto than Steele.
