Hmm, I know just the gal! She had a past -sort of- mate, but her history isn't really developed. I'd like to keep her history the way it is, but it's no big drama to change. I'll make a render, but is it okay if I post a lineart here until then? It'll [the render] be done in at least a day, I swear, but I'd like to have the lineart so you can see all her markings and stuff. Also, her history is linked to some of my versions of Balto's children, so I hope that's not a problem either.

Name: Maria
Age: 4 years, 3 months (when she meets Ferdinand)
Gender: Female
Breed: Alaskan Malamute
Parents: Unknown (breeder's)
Personality: Maria is a bright girl and has a definite motherly instinct about her. She's very protective of those she loves, and would risk her own life to save the life of a loved one. She's not incredibly selfless though, she is very protective of her 'territory' and possessions. She's friendly to strangers, but doesn't really give them a second thought unless they show interest in her, or there is something about them that stands out.
Likes: Her bunny, Saba, the days between winter and spring, daytime, watching sledding races.
Hates: She doesn't hate flirty girls unless they don't actually have feelings for the guy their flirting with, she more hates the attention-seeking type that do things just to be noticed by guys. She hates ice, but loves snow.
Fears: Losing her loved ones (again), falling for the wrong guy (again).
History: Maria was the first dog owned by a happy family living in Nome. She didn't possess the greatest athletic ability but was a very friendly dog and especially great with the children of the household. About a year later, they got another dog, a Husky X Wolf hybrid named Saba. Maria became her best friend and big-sister figure. After a few months, Saba left because of how great of a sled-dog she was and went to a contest in southern Canada. While she was gone, Maria fell in love with Saba's wild brother Rogue. They secretly had pups together, but Maria didn't want them to be a secret anymore. She and Rogue wanted different things. Maria wanted them to find human dogs and to be proud of them and do a little boasting about them, but Rogue wanted them to live wild in the forest like him. Maria fought Rogue and nearly broke his leg, then exposed the puppies to her humans. Later that night, Rogue killed the pups, not wanting for them to have a life in captivity. Since then, Maria wants to be the same person she was before the incident, but she has trouble opening up to anyone
Other: She has a toy plush bunny that her owners bought for her as a puppy, and she sleeps with it at night and chews on it for comfort.
Why do you want her to be Ferdiand's mate? Because she's a really lovely character and I want her to be happy with a nice mate. Also, as soon as I read the requirements, I brushed through the possibilities in my head, and thought "Aha! MARIA!" =)

Personality: Intelligent, diligent, meek but loves to enjoy the comforts of others, has a strong sense of what is right and wrong. When she is scared she ‘talks quietly but carries a very big stick’ (if you have ever heard the saying before.) She often tries to draw others out of their shells. Will talk a lot if she has to, she will speak her mind. Compassionate and very understanding. She is slightly naiive in her trusting ways. likes to stay clean. She is really proper compared to many other down and dirty girls and trys to look her best expecially around company. Only speaks of things she knows she would rather not rant about something she is oblivious to and look like and idiot. She is good at keeping secrets and will never tell a soul. Hate gossip and finds it rather useless if someone wanted you to know something they will come right out and say it. She never looks down upon anyone and finds the company of lower class dogs/wolves just as enjoyable as the upper class.

Fears: Male Humans, Death, Losing anymore of her pups, Losing Ferdinand

History: She was bought by a man who has a drinking problem and wanted a good German Shepherd to guard his property. He raised her to have a strong sense of right and wrong.

Other: Maxwell was her first mate (deceased as stated above)

Why do you want her to be Ferdinand’s mate? Because I wanted Fly Boy to have parents. So I created them and just left them sit there in my computer file and forgot about them until one day I was in a creative mood and wanted to create a new character when I saw Reba in my file and made her and Maxwell a history and personality. But I decided that I didn't want her and Maxwell to stay together after Fly Boy and London were born. Plus he is just so darn cute lol and I think there personalities blend well. I mean by that they blend well that they would make the perfect cute and innocent couple.
