Shasta kept running, and didnt stop. He figured his sister wouldbt be far behidn. But when eh knew he was far away enough to be safe, he turned aaround with a smile on his face. "We sure beat them, didnt we Lily?" But no one was in sight. "Lily?" He repeated again, at the top of his lungs. "Oh no! I gotta go get dad!" He screeched, turning to go home. His blakc paws raced aginst the ground, his paws tsrating to ache. He kept looking up in the sky, he flet as if he was beeing followed. But it was only a crow. He ignored it and sped up.

He saw his father ahead, and raced to him. "Dad! Lily's on your brothers tarritory..."

Kallen nodded. As her brother padded foward towards the other pups, she followed. " Hello...who are you?" she asked as she came out from behind her brother and stood beside him.

Emuku gazed softly at his pups. Then his gaze returned to the one remaining pup. " Yes, that is who I am. I am your father Midnight's youngest brother. I am surprised that Midnight even mentioned my name to you. When I refused to fight against ether of my brothers, Midnight and Shade were angry with me. He walked in one direction and Shade in the other. I never saw them again. But don't worry this is not my territory. This land here is unclaimed by any pack. It is a place where loners like my self and my two pup's, your cousin's, live. But don't you think you should go back to your father? He may have been strong and like a second father to me as a younger pup, but he changed because of this war. But if I'm sure of one thing, it's that he will come for you if your brother lets him know you are here. And he shall not be happy. Besides, to me Midnight is dead. He died with the birth of this war. As did Shade." He said, to answer her silent plea's. He sighed and closed his one good eye. his other paw, in one swift motion, passed over his lost eye and scar as memories of that day came and passed.

Midnight, assuming it was a game his children were palying, kicked at his son gently with a paw. "Shasta, not now," he growled. "Go play with your sisster without disturbing me." It didn't come to his mind that maybe his daughter had disobeyed him that much so he continued with his assumption. However, if Shasta kept at it, he would believe him and his emotions would become furious.

Connor sniffed at teh pup curiously. "So, your our cousin...." he whispered.

"Shasta woouldn't tell my father," said Lily cautiously. "e'd never get me in trouble like that." she looked at Kallen. "I'm Lily. Who are you?"

Shasta looked at his apwws, than back up at Midnight. "No, you ahve to come! Im serious! There this really big black wolf there, and I think its one of your brothers!" H yelepd again, running around in circles around his dad. He started to back up, but still watching Midnight to see if he would follow. Although he didnt budge, and he sighed. "Im serious dad, im not lying." He said glumply, sad that he didnt believe him.

Kallen smiled. Lily. That was a nice name. " I'm Kallen, it's nice to meet you." she said. " But why are you so far from your home?" she asked. Her eye's sparkling with curiosity. Her ear's flickered forward.

Emuku gave a small smile as he watched the pups talk. It truly was nice to see his pups talk in a friendly manor with one of his brother's pup's. He laid down in the soft grass as he kept on eye on them and listened.

Midnight leapt to his paws with a fierce growl. "Lead me there now!" His fur stood on end at teh thought of his daughter with his brother, Shade. But then again, his son said it was black, which would be Emuku. Emuku wouldn't hurt her but Emuku lived on territory near Shade's and Sahde would hurt her.

"My name's Connor," replied teh older of the siblings.

"My dad was being really dull so my borther and I satrted playing. He made us go down a hill and we ended up here." Lily shook her fur. "I'm not even sure I know the way home but I think I could find it..."

Shasta nodded quickly, and went into action. He skidded around in a circle and started charging twords the way he came, folowing the scent of his sister. He soon cuaght the scent of two unfimmiliar scents. He had to choose one of the ways, he choose the left one. Soo he was standing at the paws of a greyish black wolf, looking a small bit yonger that his father, and a little bit older that the other wolf he saw.

Midnight snarled loudly nad unsheathed his claws. "Shade!" he barked furiously. "Where is my daughter you... you.. dog!" He pushed his son behind him with a paw and slid his ears back as he barred his fangs. "Give me Lily right now or I will end you here adn now, brother or no brother!" He wasn;t sure how his son mixed gray and black up but it didn't matter. All that mattered was getting his daughter.

Shade raised his eyebrow slightly, than looked down at the little pup that was at his feet. He pushed him away a bi, then he was sung behind Midnight. "Now, who is Lily, the only pups I got around here are my own, Kara and Shadow- err, where ever they are. Now, get out." He said coldly.

Emuku head shot up in alarm. He could smell Midnight and Shade. They where close, and even worse they where together. " I dont think you will need to find your way back." he snarled under his breath. " Your fathers come for you, but is with your other Uncle Shade. Can you smell their scent coming form the east?." Emuku said. His white pelt rippled in the wind, showing his muscles. " Follow me. If you aren't with your father soon then another battle may break out." he said as he lead the way towards his two brothers.

Kallen was surpised. She had never seen her father like this. " Connor? Is it just me or is dad angry?. I've never seen him like this before." she said. Not once in her life had Kallen see her father even look angry. Slowly she followed as she waited for Connor and Lily.

Shadow had seen two wolves approck his fatherm and soon came intrested. "Hey Kara, we should go investagate." He decicded, starting to walk behind his father, going with or with out Kara. Thjough he stopped and his beghind a bush once, to avoid being seen by his father following him. But soon he was creeping behind Shade, hearing growling and talking.

Kaar came behind Shadow.

Midnight made a soudn half way between a sanrl and a bark and lowered himself into a crouch. "Give me my daughter now or you'll be dinner for my pups!" He lashed his tail and flattened one ear. "I am not joking aorudn with you Shade. I want my daughter now."

Lily got up slowly. "He did?" She flattenede her ears adn growled, "shasta, I'll kill you, I swear I will." Of course, she didn't mean it at all but her irritation was growing like a fire in her chest. She padded to Kallen and took the lead, following their father. "What'll happen if we don't get there soon?"

Connor stood beside hsi sister and nudged her muzzle with his. "Come on, sis." He started trotting towards Lily slowly and whispered, "He is... I think it's... I'm not sure why... There has to be a reason though. Dad doesn't jsut get angry. Don't worry, Kal." He nuzzled her breifly, using his pet name for her. "It'll be okay. Come on." He picked up his pace and padded bsdie Lily.

Kallen sighed with a shrug. " I dont know. Maybe another battle will break out." she whispered. " But Dad will stop it. Wont he?" she said. " He always said that any battle can be stopped with the right words. Or something like that." she added.

Emuku could smell his brothers right ahead. He could even hear them clearly now. " Hasn't enough blood already been shed brother?! Your daughter Lily is with me Midnight. She's unscratched, so go and leave." Emuku said with a dangerous tone to his voice as he stepped out into their veiw. The wind rippled his white fur. He glared at Shade as he spoke to them both. " Has this pointless war driven you to the point where the only thing you will pay attention to is the thought of killing each other?! To me you are both dead. I have no brothers. So go, I dread when I have to see ether of you. But I hate seeing you together even more seance the war started. I hate seeing the faces of the dead looking back at me." he snarled as he moved aside for Lily to go to her father. Soon enough he would be back in the forest with Conor and Kallen away from them. Away from the war.

Shande snarled, and kept starring Midnight in the eye. He wouldnt let them off of him. "Midnight, read my lips. Get, out. I dont have you little daughter, and if I did, she would of been long gone by now." He snickered, turning around. "Remember Midngiht, if you turn my back on me, you may find youself lying on the ground."
