I'm going to say the same here as I've always said;

If you have reason to believe that a moderator is inactive/not doing his/her job, send a PM to Togo (or me, or Steet, or any global mod, if you'd like) and he/we'll make sure it is looked into.

But I beg you n_n Please rather PM us instead of ranting, especially when the subject has been brought up an X amount of times ...

I'd rather send a PM to you, or chat with you about it on MSN, since Steet is probably busy with other things, and I sent Togo a PM regarding something similar quite a while ago under Steets instruction, regarding the fan news editors, and still haven't gotten a response. ._.'

Sorry for bringing it up again. I just felt like it was necessary seeing as the problem hasn't been resolved yet.

But I didn't see your responses to the other topics like this, sorry. ^^' If I had I would have spoken to you about it in the first place rather than making this.

Uh, sorry, I guess I missed it. Or it was during one of my holidays, for some strange reason the PM box automatically marks the new messages as read after a few weeks.

Anyways, in the past 6 weeks we have been busy dealing with a cracker, even if maybe you didn't notice. We solved this problem a couple of days ago, so now we can focus again on the proper moderation: at least one new mod will be chosen in the future weeks, and the inactive ones will be removed.

Understandable about the PM thing, I hadn't seen you online much until recently, so I should have considered that it would get buried within other PMs.

I'm glad to hear the moderation problem is going to be resolved' and the cracker has been dealt with.

About the fic thing, they have to READ it to make sure it's releated to Balto, and following the rules, and sometimes you people send ridiculously long fanfics. They have to read that too I think.

All fanfics sent to the website are read by human moderators. The process of updating fanfics you send can take something between a day to three weeks to complete (depending on the fiction's length).

They have to determine if it's not useless and OK to send to the site. There's A LOT of users on this site that send all kinds of fan anything, don't forget that.

They have to validate them, yes, to make sure they are not breaking any rules.

Some of you people need to learn that moderators on this site are humans, too. We have lives outside of this place. If you think we are here 24/7 just to serve your [mostly petty] needs, you are dead wrong. I'm sick of so many of you people saying "mods are lazy" or "the mods don't do their jobs" and crap like that. You guys think you could do a better job? Yeah. Right. Most of us are late teens and I know there are a few that are adults. We have jobs. We have friends. We are not paid to moderate BS. Many of us come in our spare time when we could be doing something else. Learn to freaking appreciate what some of the moderators do. Do you know what a mess half of this place would be without Lux and UK making sure the forums are in top shape? Do you remember how the Ask Questions section looked so hectic and messy before I cleaned it up thoroughly after coming back? Do you know how many fanfics are sent that need to be read and validated. We are taking time out of our lives to help make this place better for you all and we don't get anything in return. The lot of you could be a lot more appreciative of that.

And if you do find a mod that doesn't "do their job", PM Togo. It's not that hard. Togo is the lead mod, he can take care of it.

Another note ; just because a moderator doesn't post messages doesn't mean they are not doing their job! I have seen so many people say things like "Well I haven't seen [insert moderator's name here] for a long time!! They must not be doing their job and we should demod them now!!!111onetweleve11!" NO. A moderator can do their job perfectly fine and not post messages.

Members complain, complain complain, yet only say that we're not doing our jobs. If you don't think we are, like everyone seems to been saying, report it to Togo to be investigated. Nothing is going to happen unless you do. We don't want to hear that we're not doing our jobs after all. If we can improve, we'd like to know, so we can then do so. But we can't unless we get an idea of what you think is wrong.

Even Lux's Signeture says that, it would be kept annoymeus. (Sp?) So you wouldn't have to worry about the "Bad Mod" finding out. (If there is a bad Mod)

I'm going to put my best two cents in.
From experiance, if there are too many Mod.s, it will get out of hand.
This forum is BIG. Yes, it may be divided up into two main sections, but still, it's big.
There are over 12160 members on this forum, and only 6 forum mods. Ok, so let's say that you are a Balto fan forever, but a Lion King hater, ok, so one day, every thing's fine in Balto land, but down here in Lion King land, it's bad, this one user keeps spamming, making useless topics, no, let's say 10 members, 10 VS 6, Ok? And the Lion King forums are looking pretty bad now, and then in Balto land it happens, 20 VS 6
And we all know there is most likely twice as many members on the main site than the forum. And many of them send in sometype of fanwork.
26 VS - 12160 X 2- Yeah, that's a lot. They have to work threw that.
The Mod's can't full-fill every need. They are just as human as you.
They can have a parent die, a pet. And most of the mods are Teenagers, and some adults. So they are busy, Gotta get out of High school, get into collage, pay the rent, buy food. They face that.
Buying food VS Moderting little kids on a kids site Winner = Buying food.
Most of them do this in there spare time, they can't do everything.
And as I said before, From experiance, if there are too many Mod.s, it will get out of hand.
I know they are doing there best, we could help out too, by Not making useless topics, contests, art, fanfics, images, and behave.
That could help them greatly, and hopefully speed things up.
So try maybe combinding your art together next time, and maybe just post your fanfics on the forum. It might help a little.
