Wow. I really don't want to quote all that so I hope people reading can keep up. oO'
I made a comission topic on BS because - despite the fact I doubt anyone on here could buy a comission from anyone and the fact it's a movie fan-site and not an art site - there is still a chance someone might.
Someone who's also a member of BS has ordered a comission from me through deviantART and it's not all kids and teens on BS. ;]

Not really... mostly because this site is full of young audience, which I am totally sure they're not old enough to have their own bank account + card. I do see it happening on dA, because... dA is different. It's a bigger community and has a lot more people with experiences regarding this matter. The only good thing about this section is that you're able to "advertise" your offers from different sites. (f.e. dA, SA etc etc etc)

I believe that this is a double-edged sword (as Uk and I did when I suggested it).
I have to point out, though, that 75% of all of my commissioners are from Balto Source, so it is possible. Of course, having a younger audience (as Deni said) could only restrict the payment options for the commissioner(s). For all of my commissions, I've been mailed cash. Heck, being 17, even I don't have a bank account/credit card.
It all depends, overall, as to who's involved in the commission as to whether it's "worthless." For the site? I wouldn't say so. It gives people a chance to make people aware that they're accepting commissions, and I've had one commissioner commission me because his birthday was coming up.
With extreme parent negotiation, it's highly possible. I even offer my phone number, if they'd like, to my commissioners so their parents can call and talk to me directly. (I've also gladly offered my public/permanent records for them; I know how sceptic parents can be about giving addresses to strangers.)
It's honestly not as complicated as it sounds, either, as to how it "works." I've explained, in detail, how they work. I also allow "updates," so the commissioner knows when they payment's been recieved and whatnot. I guess it's overall opinion on this matter.

This is a site aimed at children. It appeals to children. I see no need to have a little art shop for a site where most don't have PayPal. Also, you could request some art here and then print it off, and then frame it. Its easy and yet you wanna pay money for art that isn't hand-coloured. So thats just what I think.
