FreeFall yawned as he awoke from his slumber, the morning sunlight shining through the entrance to the clan`s cave. He got up and stretched.

FireClaw was already up, looking up at the white fluffy-looking clouds, and without even turning his head to look at FreeFall, he said. "Good morning young dragon."

"Good morning to you too FireClaw." Replied FreeFall.

Sunfire watched the clan below as they stirred in the morning light. She was perched in an old burnt tree, but it was still very high. Freefall and Fireclaw were talking, how Sunfire wished she could join them, but she had other things to do. Thoughts were whirling round her head, but one stood out the most. Who am I really, I never knew my parents, and I don't truly belong to this clan she thought. The bright sun reflected on her golden scales, making them glitter like stars. Her deep blue eyes looked sadly into the distance, where the great mountains rose, out there was where she was meant to be, out there was freedom.
Whiplash was lost within his world of dreams, lying out in the shade of a few trees.
He was on a bridge of stone, hovering over a deep pool of black. His clan was behind him, on the bridge as well, and beyond them was nothing, there was no going back. In front of him stood Freefall on and island, which looked safer than the bridge. Freefall was yelling something, but Whiplash couldn't hear him. The bridge started to collapse, and Whiplash and the entire clan started to fall into the darkness, with Freefall's laughter haunting them the whole way down.
Snowspirit shook her head and sighed. She was standing at the edge of her den, looking out into the forest. She never felt like she could belong here, even though the clan had taken her in when she was abandoned. The males teased her, so she had no chance of getting a mate. At least not within the clan...
She took a deep breath, she had heard stories of a strange dragon born to Fire clan, and she wanted to see him for herself. Taking another deep breath, and checking no one was watching, she walked into the forest towards Fire clan territory.

Thunderstorm just sighed and shook out his wings before turning to face his only son, who was still sleeping at the back of the cave. "Wolfbane?" he asked quite silently. "Are you awake?" Wolfbane only shifted a little, but didn't even stir. Thunderstorm shook his head and stretched out his wings before him before taking to the skies for his daily early-morning flight.

Icywing was in her small form,her wings winged as she took the skies faster for her small body now.It was chilly but she was an ice dragon did she really care? She flew up more showing her grace,skills,and ablities to all whoom might try and mess with her,she began to make small loops,going through clouds and what not.She came in for a landing,a large dragon replaced her small form as she touched the ground.ICywing let out a roar as she walked to her clan.

Snowspirit broke into a run when she heard Icywing roar. She was not aloud to tresspass, and she knew that both clans would be cross, but she had to see this strange dragon. She ran through the forest, her long thin body curving easily round the trees. It can't be much further she thought, but the ground seemed to disappear beneath her feet, and Snowspirit found herself rolling down a steep hill. She let out a squeak of surprise and then started to laugh.
Whiplash woke with a jump, it was just a dream, but maybe it was a warning. He glanced over at Freefall and Fireclaw, if his dream was a warning then Freefall would lead the clan to their deaths. He must be stopped he thought.

"Young dragon, I wish to tell you something." Said FireClaw.

"What is it?" Asked FreeFall, kind of side glancing at SunFire.

"As you know, I am getting quite old, I am one thousand and ninety eight years old now, it will soon be my time, when I die, a responsible leader must take my place, and I have decided, it should be you. I am one thousand and ninety eight, yet you are twenty seven, you are young and resposible enough, to rule this clan and lead us to victory." Replied FireClaw.

"Thanks FireClaw, uh, I have to go." Said FreeFall quickly as he ran over to SunFire. "Hi." He said.

Sunfire blinked. Freefall was talking to her, no one ever talked to her, and she wasn't sure what to say. 'Um, hi' she said, staring at him with her deep blue eyes, studying him. She had never spoken to him before now, because she didn't want to, but also because she was scared.
Snowspirit landed at the bottom of the slope, still laughing. She picked herself up, blinked a few times, and then started walking again towards the Fireclan den. She was already in their territory, and she could just about see their den from where she was. She started to run, feeling the wind rushing past her.

FreeFall could sense her nervousness. 'probably because I am different.' He thought. "Um, uh, how`re you today." He said, it was the only thing he could think of.

FireClaw watched the two then chuckled silently to himself and walked back into the clan cave.

RockScales stretched his wings and let out a mighty roar that rang throughout his clan`s territory, the roar told everyone to wake up, it was time to hunt for food. Though there had not been much food lately throughout the dragon lands, RockScales still had hope, the young ones were almost skin and bone, and some babies couldnt drink the milk from their mothers, since the mothers hadn`t had nything to eat and so no milk was available. "What are we going to do, the young ones, and the hatchlings, are going to die without food, they are so weak they can barely lift their heads." Said RockScales to himself, then his mate, Rose, came up from behind him.

"I know you`re trying hard dear, and that the young ones are starving, but you are doing all you can do, maybe if we had help from the other cla--" But before she could finish, RockScales interupted.

"No! We cannot, they are our enemies, as long as they leave us alone, we`ll leave them alone!"

'I'm good, I suppose' Sunfire said, and frowned. What does he want, he wants something, why else would he talk to me she thought.
Snowspirit crept through the forest, the Fire clan's den was just in front of her, if she wasn't careful then someone might see her, and then she and her clan would be accused of spying and that could start a war. She crept round to one side of the den, and saw a golden dragon talking to a male dragon (what colour is Freefall). She studied both of them with intrest, the female she seemed to recognise, and the male seemed...different.
'So what are you up to?' Sunfire growled, deciding that she was going to get the truth out of Freefall, she hated being teased or used. She thought she saw movement to her left, but when she looked there was nothing there, and she ignored it and stared at Freefall intently.

Tunderstorm let out his own mighty roar before decending to his border. He took one whiff in before sighing heavily. He turned to the forest, the to the seas before him. Such strange memories began to form. Memories that he couldn't replace...

"Father?"

That sudden voice made him snap back into reality as he looked up to see his won son flying about. Thunderstorm just smiled, very happy to still have a part of those happy memories with him. "Well, well, good morning, Wolfbane!" he shouted up. "How are you feeling?"

Wolfbane landed beside his father with a small smile in reply. "I'm doing good, Father," he said. "I was just hoping that you were okay."

Thunderstorm just chuckled to himself before nudging his son along, not wanting him to worry so much. "I'll be alright," he whispered with another soft sigh, closing his eyes. "I was just thinking about you mother, that's all..."

FreeFall looked at Sunfire. "I just want to talk." Replied FreeFall. His cheeks were not turning red, but he could feel them getting warmer and warmer, anymore warmer, he`d be blushing. "I, uh, gotta go now." Said FreeFall quickly as he jumped behind the trees, bowling over SnowSpirit. He banged heads with her. "Oof!" Said FreeFall as their heads collided. He jumped back and shook his head. He noticed this dragon was not of the fire clan. "Who are you stranger? And what do you want?" Growled FreeFall questioningly.

Sunfire looked a little startled, he didn't want anything except to just talk. What if he...no forget it she thought, quickly ignoring the little question that was now swirling in her thoughts. She sighed and walked in the opposite direction to Freefall into the forest.
Snowspirit gasped. 'Um, er, I have to go...but, ooh my head' she said, suddenly realising her head hurt. she put a paw over her forehead and looked at this strange male. 'I came here looking for the strange dragon born to Fire clan, I hoped not to get spotted, but I am Snowspirit' she said finally.
