What do you mean? Do you mean historically we already had the info that he wasnt assasinated or do you mean that we all knew it was impossible in real life? If you mean historically, well duh! Its pretty werll stated in history books that Hitler commited suicide,so if you don't like that part, thats a shame,I think its very admirable they tried to do something right for the world. If you mean that during the time he was alive it was impossible thats complete bull,no one knew if they could accomplish it or not but,as I said,at least they were brave enough to try!
Anyways,I hate tom cruise just as much as anyone could but,for the part he was playing,he did fairly well.

I dunno,I don't mind them not having a german accent. Maybe his talent doesn't include german accents? You can only be so talented. Anyways I respect your opinion but,it also seems like you were expecting more than you should from the actors. Perhaps you should check out one of the older black and white films about this plot, which were done with german accents and language and subtitles. It was accurate and interesting, and thats all I care about. :|

Did I say anything about saying that the way Hitler died was stupid? That the assassination went along as planned? I was just saying what I would have liked to see. I don't deny the fact that what the Germans tried to do to Hitler was really risky and great. But, I guess I'd just like a little twist in movies sometimes.

I just gave out a simple little review for a simple little movie. It's nothing to blow a cork over. :/

Its not that....its the way you worded it. You can't change history and this movie was aiming to be accurate not successful on the character's part and Im not blowing a cork,as you say,I'm simply objecting to your opinion because I disagreed. That is all.

There was a special on Valkyrie on the history channel last night which explained the movie but it also really went into the psyche of the conspiritors, the ramafications, and how what they did shaped the future of Germany.

I've been interested in this movie ever since I first saw the trailer back when I saw Twilight. I haven't had time (nor the money really) to see it but I do hope to see it sometime before it comes out of DVD. I think this movie just has to be on the silver screen for the first time watch.

Yep, it's definitely one of those movies you need to watch in theaters to get the full effect the first time. Hope you'll be able to do so soon! I think it should stay in theaters at least up to February, with how much money it's making, but on the silver screen or no, I think you'll really enjoy it!

I wouldn't say his best, but I'd call his best movie to be a tie between Tropic Thunder and Valkyrie.

But then again, how can you compare a comic role to a serious role? By far, Cruise has reached high in terms of his acting potential in Valkyrie, in terms of a serious part.

But let's stay on the topic of Valkyrie, though. This topic isn't about Tom Cruise, it's about Valkyrie.
