Not for quite a while. People will go crazy for it until the last book comes out and even after that it still won't die because of movies following the books, Twilight merchandise, (etc). I do know that Hot Topic has good taste so I don't think Twilight will survive there for too much longer. The only thing that can be done is to ignore all the Twilight stuff in there before it gets ya too and drags ya to the dark side(the Twilight side).

things that annoy me turn me off to it. so that'll never happen.
but i have to think of HP when it was popular, it was seen at Hot Topic and later died down (way down) before the last book came out.

Honestly I think Harry Potter was a lot better but i do love them both!Twilight series was over dramatic and the movie didn't match the book what-so-ever.I mean seriously.Bella just walked out on a couple vampires at the end?In the book she had a plan.

Harry Potter on the other hand was excellent!It wasn't over dramatic it described everything well.It suprised you all the way!The movies match the book excellently!I always think that the book is better than the movie but these almost matched completey!I love it!I honestly didn't like th 5th movie much.I loved the book though!And I can't wait for the 6th movie.

Remember I still like them both!Just I think Harry Potter is better by a lot.

Twilight book vs movie: Hated the book. End of story there. Liked the movie. It cleared things a bit, and didn't waste as much of my life ^^

HP movies, 1st & 2nd movie vs 1st & 2nd book: Loved the books, the movies matched them well and were an enjoyable watch

HP 3rd movie book vs movie [beware of rant]: Loved the book! Infact, it almost remains to this day my favorite book ever written...however...I greatly disliked the movie -.-
Facts are simple. They messed up on the werewolf almost completely, and they left out SO much that the audience needed to know!!! That alone made me furious after first seeing it in theatres.

HP 4th & 5th movies vs. books: Didn't really care for any of the last 4 books. It's not because of the characters dying (which believe me wasn't great either!), but it just felt like while reading it, JKR just rushed. Or hired crazed fan girls to write the rest...
I just didn't feel as much passion she had for writing the first 3. The movies were ok and matched the books well enough though. (keep in mind however I only saw both about once or twice...)

HP books...6 & 7 [movies are yet to be rated seeing as the obviously arn't out yet]: well...kinda the same as my semi-rant about the 4th book...and I hated the ending to the 7th with a burning passion!!! Besides the point that my favorite character was pointlessly, undiscribed, and pathetically killed, but there was no thought at all! And as a great icon I once read stated; "Harry Potter obviously doesn't own a baby-naming book!"

Never read Twilight but unfortunately saw the movie and hated it
read Harry Potter books and loved them
saw the movies and they were awesome except for the latest one the Order of the Phoenix.
Sooooo...I go for the Harry Potter Books.

I would say Harry Potter is alot better than Twilight. The first book of Harry Potter versus the Twilight the plots are completely different and I think Harry Potter is much better than Twilight. In Twilight she basically spends the entire book stumbling about after Edward who has no personality and all he wants to do is kill her. That is so nasty not to mention a bit sadistic.

And yet for some reason, thousands of crazed fan girls think that's romantic... >.> ... <.<

I am not 'i wanna date a boy like edward cullen-un!!!!2'- (Seriously, you love this character from a book and you can't save it's last name right? ) , nor am I intrested a whinny girl's drama, 'oh he doesn't love me, I shall kill myself!11', so I can't like Twilight.

The HP books got a bit boring in the 6th book for me though.

Well, it's like this, MOST, (Not all) HP fans bash Twilight, Twilight (NOT ALL) bash HP, so I can only guess, that they are compairing due to rivalry.
Though it's a stupid reason.

To be honest I like them both, I liked the Harry Potter books and the movies too, exept for The HBP, they cut out a lot for me =/ and I liked Twilight way before it was turned into a movie, I'm not a fan gil that is like

no, I liked the story and I actually like that kind of books, I enjoy reading them, I don't see what's wrong with sparkling vampires or others, this is the way that the writer, Stephenie Meyer, see and image them in that story, it's her imagination, I don't see why someone should critics her for her way to see vampires =/ okay, maybe a sparkling vegetarian vampire is not very common but who are we to critic the result of a writer's mind?
