"Pit right," ordered Sawyer. And as the Dragonite followed his commanded, he added, "One more Fly attack, we'll catch him from the air!"
Raikou's last attack had clipped one of Dragonite's wings, weakening the strength, but it still had the potential to do some ample damage. Spinning off to the side, it took a deep breath and leaped in the sky, disappearing once again from anyone's sights on the ground.
Like before, Sawyer had an arm raised. If he could have this next attack land a direct hit, it could knock out Raikou from battle. He had to time this next move carefully. He watched Izzy and her Pokémon carefully, and when he saw his chance he took it.
"Now, Dragonite! Strike with all you got!" He brought his hand down hard.
Two seconds passed. Three. Then five. Seven. Ten.
Bemused, Sawyer lifted his sights at the sky. It was unlike Dragonite to disobey. "Dragonite? Where the-- hey, what's that?!" Shielding his hands to his eyes, he squinted up and focused in on the bright circle of where the sun was... or at least, where the sun should be. It was half-covered by the moon, and like a black hole in the sky, it was slowly starting to cover it up completely. "No way," Sawyer said. "An eclipse?"
He glanced over at Izzy and her Raikou, but they appeared to be just as confused.
When Sawyer looked back up at the sky, the moon had totally engulfed the sun, and had cast an unwordly blackness on the land. Everyone stopped to look at it.
Just then, Sawyer caught a look at something streaking across the ground. It shot past the corner of his vision, and when he turned his head around, he had only enough time to register that there was a big, black splotch darting across the battlefield. It moved insanely fast, and was bolting fast in the direction where he'd vaguely remember the Lucario he'd met earlier run off to.
"Whoa, what is that!" Sawyer almost felt like going after it, but stopped when he found that he couldn't budge himself. He looked down at his feet, appalled. "Hey! What's going on here!" It were as if his feet were glued to the ground and that was when Sawyer made a startling discovery: that his own shadow wasn't following his movements. The image he projected onto the ground seemed to be crouching, even though Sawyer was still standing. It was crouching and appeared to be holding down its own feet.
Sawyer struggled to get free, but his own shadow still had its hands on its feet, holding him firmly in place. He didn't know what else to do but shout out. "Isabella," he shouted. In the dense dark, his voice seemed to twist and reverberate. "Isabella!! Something wierd's going on!! I... I can't move!!"
What was that tugging sensation pulling at him from the inside he wondered. But in two seconds, he answered his own question: fear.

Sawyer fought to lift one foot off the ground, but his shadow still seemed to be holding his on feet down firmly to the earth. Then he remembered what that Lucario had done. Fishing under his vest for another Pokéball, he expanded it and threw it out in front of him. "Sableye, go!!"
The brief flash of momentarily revealed Izzy trapped in the same problem he was. He tried to call out to her, but in the dense blackness, it was like trying to call someone underwater. The Ghost/Dark Pokémon stood, confused out in front of Sawyer. "Sableye, give me a hand here... something... something's wrong with my shadow!!"
The Pokémon tilted its head in confusion. "Sab...?"
"Look, just use Psychic to get me off the ground, alright?"
Sableye nodded and put two hands up to his head, starting to glow with a faint aura of blue. Immediately, Sawyer felt himself starting to be hoisted up in the air and he looked down, petrified to see that his own shadow was tugging at his feet, trying to pull him back down. He could actually FEEL some force trying to bring him back down. "Sableye, concentrate your focus on my shadow!"
"Saaaableye...?"
"Just do it!"
The Pokémon did as it was told. And as if it were being burned by holding something hot to the touch, his shadow leapt back and bean to writhe out in violent gestures. The tugging sensation left, and he was hoisted up in the air by Sableye's phychic attack, out of his shadow's reach.
"Izzy," yelled Sawyer through the dark. "Try to get your Pokémon to attack your shadow. It's the only way!!"
-------------------------------------
Aniubis had activated his aura vision, but upon the eclipse, it was as if someone had flipped a switch and shut it down. He growled and tried to activate it again, but as much as he tried to concentrate, chanting <By the power of aura,> none of his powers seemed to work.
Then he saw the shadow approaching, and instantly, Aniubis romped the ground in a fighting stance and held to flaming aura spheres in his paws. His eyes were narrowed and his mind, set.
Once it was right in front of him, the shadow left the ground and materialized in thin air to a Pokémon. One that Aniubis had seen before.
"So... we meet again," Darkrai said.
<You! What have you done with Raven,> demanded Aniubis.
"Last time I saw her, she was trapped in a nightmare I had prepared exclusively for her."
<RAAAAAAAAAHH!!!> Aniubis released both his aura spheres directly at Darkrai, who sank back into the ground as a shadow to dodge them, then rematerialized again. <Let her go, at once!>
"All she has to do is wake up."
Aniubis and Darkrai stood glowering at one another before Aniubis finally conjured two more aura spheres that floated around his paws. To this, Darkrai let out a silent laugh. "You don't think I'm here to take you with me, do you, Aniubis? Oh, don't be so hasty. I'd much rather take whatever you have left before your eyes before seeing that you go down as well. Like Raven."
<QUIET!!> He released the aura spheres, and Darkrai avoided them in the same fashion he did the last time.
"You and I will have our time, I promise you that. But first, I have an army of shadows to collect -- and I think I'll start with your precious Raven."
<Leave her out of this!>
"Oh, but she had a part in putting me away too, remember? I can't allow anyone who did to go on... speaking of which... your old trainer sends his regards from the Void Realm."
<My old... you mean you...> Aiubis shut his eyes have gave a vociferous yell at Darkrai, putting his two paws together to conjoin two aura spheres into one massive blue ball, which he hurled at Darkrai.
Darkrai laughed again before dissipating into the air before the aura sphere could hit him. Alone to himself, Aniubis gave off a loud, telepathic cry. <RAAAAVEN!!!>

Saywer rubbed at his head as he took out a Pokéball and returned his Sableye. "This is definitely not something I'd want to sign up for."
As if on cue, a sliver of the sun shone from around the corner of the moon, breaking the eclipse. Immediately, Sawyer didn't feel so tied down anymore, and as more sun shone through, the blackness that surrounded them retreated back. People and Pokémon around were gazing about, disoriented or confused.
Sawyer got up and extended a hand to Izzy. "Whew... well, whatever that was, I'm glad it's over. I just hope that -gasp- WATCH OUT!!"
Suddenly, Sawyer grabbed Izzy's shoulder and flung her backwards just as something big and heavy fell from the sky. It crash landed in an explosion of dirt and a grunt. When everything cleared, Sawyer was already upon it.
It was his Dragonite, severely injured and fainted. But that wasn't what troubled Sawyer the most. What he found most disturbing was that Dragonite wasn't casting a shadow on the ground beneath him. It was as if the light was shining right through him.
"This is bad," Sawyer's voice quivered. "I-I have to get him to a Pokémon Center." He didn't wait up to hear if Izzy was going to come along too as he grabbed a Pokéball out of his vest, recalled his Dragonite, and sprinted forward.
------------------------------
Aniubis' head was still spinning from his collision with Raven, and he grunted as he struggled to get up. His eyes were slanted in a frown as he shook his head and stared at her. <I don't know how you ever got yourself involved in all of this, but right now, it's too late to say that you'll be safe. And I may not always be there to save you if anything happens again.>
Raven looked like she was about to say something, so Aniubis continued quickly, his eye narrowing. <There's no point in trying to reason with the circumstances. If Darkrai can't get to you, he'll go after those you care about, and it'd be foolish to think he'll stop there. This is something I have to do alone, and I can't be troubled with having to worry about whether or not you're capable of defending yourself.>

"I haven't the fondest," Sawyer said, shaking his head. His steps felt light and his mind was racing, trying to make sense of what had just happened. But right now, all he knew was that his Dragonite was in trouble and needed help. The nearest Pokemon Center was the only place he knew of that would offer any consolation. Before now, none of his Pokemon have ever disobeyed or done something so unpredictably dangerous.
He got to the Center and immediately registered his Pokemon for treatment. The nurse looked troubled as she took the Pokeball and put it on a tray. "It'll take some time to heal your Pokemon. For some reason, we're having some trouble with the healing machine in the back. But don't worry, we should be getting it running in no time, okay?"
Sawyer sunk. "Is there any way I can go with him?"
"I'm afraid not," the nurse said. "It'd be better if you wait in the lounge." Before he could say something more, she wheeled the tray containing the Pokebal of Sawyer's fainted Dragonite out of sight.
For a minute, Sawyer simply stood there. He didn't understand what he was feeling; he'd brought his Pokemon to the Pokemon Center plenty of times before, but never before has he felt so unnervingly disturbed that something was especially wrong. In his deep thought, he'd even forgotten that Izzy was still right beside him as he flopped down on a seat and began to rub his forehead.
------------------------------------------
Aniubis really didn't want Raven with him, but the point she brought up was completely valid. It surprised him to see that he was without remark at her reasoning, so he simply grunted and turned his back. Although he was doubting Raven's ability to defend herself solo, it was entirely plausible that Darkrai would have a tougher time bringing one of them down when they were together. All reason told him that it would be the wisest thing, but for some reason he was still fighting himself over it. Finally, he sighed.
<I can't be burdened with you tagging after me,> he said. <It'll be more for your own protection than for mine, so as long as you don't slow me down or get in my way...>

OoC||Thank you :3 Sorry if my entry post sucks. DX - - - - - - - - - - Indeed it was a beautiful day to be outside. The sun was shining with a small number of clouds dotting the hovering sky, with the occational flock of Sparrows scattering about. It was seemingly peacful, although a stray Lugia felt very uneasy as it made its way towards a small town. He tried his best to keep himself hidden from pesky trainers who would love to try and catch him. That was the last thing he needed. Whenever a trainer would cross his path, Lou would hover behind a big enough tree or building, although since he was a large Pokemon, it was a challenge. Truth be told, he had been seen on his journey to find what was causing such a disturbance, but he was lucky enough to get away. It wasn't until the light of hte sun began to wither behind a cloak of shadow. His piercing aburn optics slid towards the bright star in the sky just as the moon, or what seemed to be the moon, began to slide across the sun's face, hidding it behind it's dark form. Lou stopped and hovered over a grassy field and watched the sun succumb to the dark mass's veil, but his attention was then converted towards the town itself, where he heard a series of yells and other sounds of comotion. He waited a few seconds before gathering enough courage to investigate. The Lugia glided towards a back alley, stealthily peeking around a corner to save himself from being seen, although any pedestrian would be able to see him while walking down the street. Lou narrowed his eyes at what he saw. It seemed two trainers and their Pokemon were struggling to move, or something close to that conclusion. He looked closely towards their feet before he noted something dark holding onto their legs. He growled inwardly as he watched, holding back the urge to jump in and help. It was hard for him to just sit back and watch their misfortune, but the trainers were quick to react and they were soon free from whatever was holding them in place. Lou sighed to himself, relieved to know that everyhting turned out alright, that was until he noticed a Dragonite fall unconcious from the sky. The male trainer was appalled while the female looked surprised. Lugia knew nothing of how trainers were able to heal their Pokemon, so he thought it best to stay out of their business. Just as he was about to leave to search for the source of the anxiety in his chest, he turned around to see a trainer with a Pokemon at his side. He seemed speechless as he gazed wide-eyed at the legendary Pokemon, but his excitement was quickly followed by an order he gave to his Pokemon, which was an electric type of which Lou could not name. His opponent sent a thunder bolt his way, and Lou was struck dead on. The Lugia roared in pain before rearing back his head to counter attack. His eyes began to glow before he yanked his head forward, sending a beam of light from his mouth; known as aeroblast. When Lou's attack struck his opponent, the trainer and his Pokemon were flung back by the trememdous force, a thick cloud of dust and debris weaving through the alleys and streets. The Lugia knew it was wise to flee, and he did, but he was injured and most likely slightly paralyzed. He groaned, which sounded like a sad tune to humans, as he shakily glided towards the open field from which he had flown over rescently before collapsing to the ground. < 'Idiot...'> Lou growled to himself before he closed his eyes as he slipped off to unconciousness. Now he was totally vulnerable of being caught and there was no way for him to tell himself to wake up.
