Samson was the one of the last to finally go into the water. Instantly, his newly sore muscles relaxed, and he was able to swim peacefully through the gentle waves of the water. One of his favorite things to do whenever he had water was swim beneath the surface, so it wasn't long before Sam disappeared from sight. The river wasn't very deep, so he couldn't enjoy himself as much as he would like. He spent a few minutes laying on the bottom of the river before going back to the surface for air. It only took a f ew seconds for him to emerge. With his head above water, he was able to at least shake that free of water. Then, he paddled his way back to the shore. He reached it and shook out his fur just before there was a high-pitched howl and a larger splash. Sam was drenched through to the skin. Again. He looked over his shoulder to give the retreating Alpine a quick, harmless glare. Sam returned to shaking out his fur and sitting on the water's edge, a little apert from the rest of the group.

Belle trotted clumsily to the lake, pausing for an instant at the edge, eyeing the water unhappily, before jumping in. As much as she knew that this was mostly a chance to relax, and she didn't have to swim in the water, she was determined not to show any signs of weakness by being maybe the only dog that had chosen not to swim. As she swam she gritted her teeth, feeling the cold water soak through her thick fur to her belly. She stifled groan as, after looking over to Alpine when he howled, she got even more soaked than she already was. She narrowed her eyes at him, giving him an angry stare, before swimming to land deciding she'd had enough of the cold water for now.

Pitch loved the water, and, as cold as it was, he ran full speed towards it and dived into the water, ignoring any angry stares he may have got from his team-mates who weren't so keen to get wet. Pitch surfaced for a breath, before swimming near the bottom of the lake for a while. At the bottom of the lake, Pitch relaxed completely. As much as most dogs would be tensed, ready to swim back up and maybe be panicking at the bottom of a lake, Pitch loved the silence and calmness he felt underwater. He started to close his eyes, before realizing that his lungs were burning for air. Pitch had the ability to hold his breath for a long time, and he was glad of it. Pitch swam quickly to the surface of the lake, gasping for air. He wanted to go back under, but was scared that his team-mates and musher might leave without him. He reluctantly got out of the water, pulling himself out slowly.

Personality: Cody is kind and adventurous, he always lands himself in trouble because of his adventurousness.
History: Cody was born in a pack, but he ventured too far away from the pack one day and lost them, he began to look for his pack and while he was looking, he found Nome, he has always admired the sled dogs and one day wishes to be a lead dog.
Other: Half of his left ear was bitten off.
Preferred Position: lead dog or a right wheel dog (like he`ll ever get those positions, hes wolf)

Saba didn't wish to enter the water. Just by looking at it she knew that it would be freezing cold, so cold that she had to remind herself that it was water, not ice. She dipped her paw in the water and although it was cold, she found it rather soothing. She was just about to enter when she saw Alpine, moments before he hit the water. Saba, standing close to where he landed, got almost full force of the icy splash and yelped in surprise. Now she was too cold to not go in the water, so she slipped in. Instantly she felt the cool lake relax her muscle and for a few moments all her worries about the race had disappeared.

"Great work, rookie." growled Keno. For a moment Saba assumed that he was talking to her, but then she realised that he was referring to Alpine.
"Pulling a dumb stunt like that might've just cost us the race."
Keno hadn't entered the water and nor did he plan to.

Cody watched the team from the bushes, his eyes aglow in the darkness. He laughed silently at the rookie dog. Cody really thought it was funny but he held back some of his laughter, he was curious and had always wanted to be a sled dog, so he went to get a closer look when. Snap. He had steped on a twig and had alerted some of the dogs, and his eyes gave away his position.

Alpine was starting to think that splashing the rest of the team might not have been such a good idea after all. Even though he was just kidding around, either the rest of the team didn't know it or they just weren't in the mood.

For a while he sat on the rock thinking about how the team might react to him when they all finished swimming. Knowing the race would start soon Alpine wondered why the musher didn't call the team back to the sled so they could get to the start line. For Alpine this race would be his best chance to show the world how good he was. He was getting excited that in a few hours he would be in the race. As far as Alpine was concerned nothing could bring him down until he once again let out a terrible sneeze that shook his body all over.

Cody backed up, "Well I-I-I uh I have always admired sled dogs and I have alwas wanted a chance at lead dog, I mean uh wolf, and I wasn`t spying, I was uh..Ok so I was spying, big deal." Stammered Cody. "I`m Cody, I`m a wolf as you can see."

OOC: Excuse me, kevin the grey wolf, but I never said that you could join this roleplay. You've disrupted the flow of posts. Can you please leave?

I would like to have been Maria, but she won't even come in until they get to Nome XD

IDanceOnthorns_x - If you wanted to, I guess you could roleplay as Keno. Because I can tell that you've read my whole post (or at the very least the plot and backstory...) If you'd like to play as him, then I will edit you into the first post.

OOC: I'll pm Kevin to read the rules but I don't see the harm in letting him join if he knows the rules. As for his posting spot, I'd be willing for him to go after Emily and before me if everybody else doesn't mind.
