I do not think that they will be as bad as you think. the trailer shows them as bad, but who knows....i am really looking forward to it. THe mix of live wolves with cg looks amazing. Oh, wolf pleasure sensors overloading lol.
I watched it too. (The Visual Effects clip). What makes them look good in it?? They show them making the CGI wolf cornering the boy that's holding a sword pointed at the wolf.

Grr. The wolves are the bad guys. I was visiting the "Wolf: The Movie" forum and was reading the thread for this movie over there. One of the members posted a link to a website that showed how they trained the real wolves in the movie. And in the begining the lady said "They play the bad guys in the film- the servants of the witch" also, I read one of the other members posts in the thread and she said one of the wolves gets killed by the boy with the sword. She knows because she has already read the book and still remembers it. If you'd like the link, I'll gladly post it. The clip was quite interesting- how they trained the beautiful wolves. It's just a shame they are being trained to snarl and growl so they can look evil in this up coming film.

Oh come on its not that bad, the wolves are really cute evn if they are bad, i like the talking one, whee! besides its wolves, if you know they arent evil in general isn't that good enough? Everyone has their opinions and stereo types, if everyone here goes to watch it im sure they will still stay a wolf lover, and some poeple might love wolves more after or hate them more, or still hate them the same, media doesnt effect everyone equally, its based on how people percieve things and how they deal with what they see.

CS Lewis was considered a doctor of the Roman Catholic faith. That's why I love the books so much. Everyone always asks what the difference between Harry Potter and something like this is, and you have the answer right in your post.
weee, indeed. I am no catholic, and do not agree with many catholic ideals and such as I am a Protestant, but in any case, anything that encroaches religion is shunned by a lot of people, in hollywood and abroad, so I am very excited to see if this flick grasps onto its roots. I read that the director was going to strive to be close to the book so I would assume. I read a little of the book and one phrase used in the early chapters "Sons of Adam and daughters of Eve" In a short clip-mentary on narnia's site, they make reference to that so i have faith that this will keep to it as close as a book/movie translation would allow. :3 WEEEE only a couple more weeks!!
