Emma looked behind her at the fast approaching ship. "Then, perhaps, sir, we should not be approaching as if we are ready to attack," she said in a meek voice. "Just a word of suggestion."

"Hmmm," Black said to herself, looking at the approaching ship. "Doesn't look like Shale's in the mood for a fight today. Wonder what he wants..." If curiousity really does kill the cat, Black was lucky she has nine lives. This could easily be some kind of secret attack, but Black rarelly got a chance to talk to Shale civilly, this opputunity was not one to be passed up. She called out to her crew to slow their going. There was going to be no attack today."
Emma nodded, looking out at the Midnght's Lady. The ship was slowing. "Perhaps this will go well," Emma said, almost completely to herself though stll talking to the captain. "Maybe she will listen to our plan. For once."
