*Ahem*. You were flaming Joker. I would strongly suggest getting used to the fact not everyone will agree with you 100% and healthy debate is fine, which is what JC was attempting.
Next time perhaps try to read a reply carefully several times before posting any response so that you don't flame.

What I was telling him was not to back talk me on everything.If he didn't,I'd be a bit more tolerant.I wouldn't expect you to understand.Nobody ever does

It was *not* back-talking. Back talking would've been if JC had replied quoting every single line of your topic and said nothing but "That's wrong. :roll:

As JC has already pointed out - This is a public forum. Anyone can sign up and post and it is inevitable that people will disagree with you in which case it's always better to have a nice discussion and debate with said person about your differing views instead of start flaming them.

It's amazing, isn't it, how this topic has so derailed? I mean, the only thing I did was ask him to do more than just quote what looks a heck of a lot to me like the synopsis you could find on the dust jacket, or back cover, of any edition of that particular book. I instead asked him to discuss it further. And I quoted other examples of great military writers. And this was the result. :roll:

This is a forum and I really don't think you've quite grasped the concept.

If you have a problem sharing information or views with other people then you really shouldn't create a topic in a discussion forum where the whole point is to create a discussion point with your view, backed by facts, for others to discuss and debate.
