Thank you, guys.

Yeah, I noticed that today, and frankly I was shocked. I haven't been here that long, and I didn't know that many people were reading my fics. To everybody who's been reading them, thank you! I appreciate your time.

I'm working hard on Balto: Father, although I've been getting busier every day with the holiday coming up. If nothing else I should be able to get it real close to finished over the holiday. To show my gratitude to you guys for reading my stories, here are two separate sneak peeks at Balto: Father.

Kantu stood at the entrance of the alpha's den, taking in the scents of a new day. He liked to watch the sun rise more often now that he was a full member of the pack. It gave him a sense of hope and fulfillment, and today was a special day for him. Today was the day he was going to hunt with the pack for the first time since he had completed the rite of adulthood a few days before, and he was excited.

"You're up early again, son," came the pack alpha's voice from behind him.

"Sorry papa. I couldn't sleep any more, I'm too excited."

Dakarai chuckled. "Look, Nightfall. Our son is ready to take on the world."

Nightfall yawned and looked out at Kantu, her piercing blue eyes shining out from the darkness of the cave. "Be nice, my alpha," she said with a smile.

He arrived at Jenna's house and ran around back to the shed, slowing down only to open the door quietly in case his pups were sleeping. He stuck his head in the door and saw Jenna in her bed, sleeping. "Darn," he thought. "I was hoping they'd be up so I could play with them." "Mmm... Balto?" Jenna said sleepily.

Balto meekly stuck his head back inside. "It's me, Jenna... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you."

Jenna smiled. "You can wake me any time, my love. Come in and see your children."

Balto happily entered the shed, and walked over to where Jenna was lying in her bed. Their pups were all asleep against their mother's belly, rhythmically breathing in and out. He leaned over to kiss her, and she kissed him back. "Mmm... why can't I wake up like this every morning?" Jenna said with a grin.

For what it's worth, when I wrote the part about Aleu, I had "Here I Am" in mind. She's doing very well for a new leader who's never lived in the wild before.

You're very welcome! I think there are more fans on the site that are eager to find filling fics about their favorite characters from the films instead of the all-fan-character ones that seem to be bland and the usual stuff that we've probably all read before (no offense, you guys).

As for the Aleu part, I figured as much. *chuckles* We can only hope that Aleu is becoming more of a leader with every passing day she lives amongst her wolf brothers and sisters.

And about the next fic, it sounds quite intriguing! I can only wait in anticipation to see how the two tales are connected in the third part of your Story Quartet!

I appreciate it, guys. Well, if you go back to my first post in this thread, you'll see a snippet from an unnamed future fanfic I was working on. At the time I said it was my second fanfic, that turned out to be wrong.

It's actually in Balto: Father, which I finished writing tonight. I have to go back and edit it now, and that will take me a day or two, but it will be uploaded to the site as soon as that's done.

Wow! It always takes me a loooong time to finish my fics. Ah well, guess I'm just slow XD

Anyhoo, can't wait for Balto: Father to be up on the site! If it's even close to the quality of the others, I will be blown away by its excellence! :wink:

BTW, I was really glad that Balto: Son was longer than the previous one. If you don't mind my asking, is Balto: Father longer or shorter than its predecessors? (Especially Balto: Son)

I doubt you're slow, I think I'm just really inspired right now.

Balto: Father is longer than Balto: Son by about 3,000 words. As of right now I'm pretty happy with it, and I hope you enjoy it.

Balto: Father has been finished, edited and uploaded. Unfortunately when I tried to name it "Balto: Father", it said the name was too close to another fanfic (but didn't say which one), so I had to pick another name. Just to get it uploaded, I called it Balto: Fatherhood. The fic is still called Balto: Father, though.

But it's done, and uploaded. In between bouts of editing today, I got the idea to do a picture with two of the characters from Balto: Father. So I grabbed some line art from the line art section, colored them and put them on a background. A friend helped with the shading, and here it is.

I am proud to introduce Nightfall and Dakarai of the Falling Leaf Tribe.

I just finished reading Balto: Fatherhood. It was fantastic! I left a real review of it on your gallery page, but I just had to say - I LOVED it! Keep up the wonderful work!

Yeah I wish I could have named it Balto: Father like I wanted to. I love Dakarai and Nightfall, I'll probably work them into a future story at some point. Thanks for reading my stories, it's greatly appreciated.
