Firstly, I'm ashamed to say I spent 16 years of my life - *cough* aka my whole life *cough* - without a single piercing... because when I was little I was afraid it'd hurt and I just didn't want any, then when I got older I was more interested in it but still never pounced at an opportunity to do anything...
But I'm proud of myself, cause I just got my lobes pierced today, bootleg style XD I went over one of my friends' house and on a whim (actually we'd talked about it before, but doing it today was the on a whim part) decided to pierce them today... phun. We did it the ol' fashioned way, w/ ice on the ear for a while, then put an apple behind the lobe and just stick a sewing needle through. The first one actually didn't hurt at all, even though I expected it to. then the second one kinda hurt like a mother... it's swollen up a bit too x.o But nothing I can't handle!

I was actually surprised by my own pain tolerance... my friend kept making it out to be such a big, painful ordeal, and she was really slow and hesitant at first, like "Can you feel this? Does it hurt?" and I was like "Uh... I can feel it... it doesn't really HURT..." and before I knew it she pierced through to the apple <_< Reeeaaalll smoothlike.
Next on my list would be an eyebrow, or an industrial. I've heard industrials are a beast, but eyebrows actually aren't that bad to do...? Anyone got firsthand experience to rate the approximate pain level for me? Debunk a myth maybe?
