(We will skip to a year later now)

It had been a year since Toby had saved the dog. Prey had been getting scarce, so he had to go past the town to travel to the hunting grounds. As he passed the town he smelt something familiar. He followed the scent, and ended up at a park... And there, he suddenly stopped. The dog he had saved that day in the snow was there. She was playing with some children. He watched her... and, suddenly something happened. She seemed like the most beautiful dog he'd ever seen. He tried to walk away, to go hunting, but he was frozen to the spot.. He couldn't move. He sat, watching her until she left the park. But still he sat there, then he started walking away. But.. He couldn't stop himself.. He followed her scent. His feet touched the green ground noiselessly. He followed her scent until he came to a house. He knew it was a risk, but he peeked inside. And he saw her sitting by the fire. After a moment, he finally tore himself away, and he ran, as fast as he could, to the edge of the town. where he stopped and lay down, under a bush. He would spend the night here, he decided. He wasn't thinking straight. He didn't think of being found, didn't think of the evil wolves taking over his den. But, love can do funny things to a wolf's mind...

shinxs sat in her cozy home with her humans. she layed down on her mat, nest to the fire place. despite the warms of the fire she felt a shiver go down her spine. her fur stood on end. she slowly turned her head around, towards the window. there, she saw a large black dog.'no a...wolf' she thought. before she had a chance to find out more the wolf had turned away. 'who was that?' she thought, wondering. she got up and went to the door, whinging to her people so they'd let her out. the new one came, a smile spred out upon her face. he opend the door for her and she licked his cheek before she left the house. she went around the house to the spot were she had seen the wolf.
he had left large tracks in the snow, leading towards the outskirts of town. 'Go', a mysterious voice said. 'am i going nuts?' she thought, shaking her head. but she still felt somthing inside her telling her to go. 'i can't' she thought fearfuly, remembering the day she had almost froze in 'the' storm, as she now thought of it. she sighed unhappily and went back into her house.

Toby looked up tiredly "wha...?" He mumbled. He had been asleep. "I... Where am I?" He looked around, slowly remembering the night before. He groaned. "I shouldn't be here.. in the town, around people" he said. Suddenly his mind cleared. He gave Angel a funny look. What was that she was saying? He hadn't heard her. Only the last part. "Well, Angel" He said "I really don't know.. I really don't know why I'm sitting under a bush." He shook his head and got up, shaking some leaves from his fur. He sighed. "I should be getting home now, but..." Toby hesitated. He wanted to stick around the town, even though he knew he shouldn't. "Just for a little while" He thought. "Hey, Angel, do you think you could show me around the town?" He asked her. He closed his eyes. He should go home, not stick around the town, but.... "I mean, is there anything particularly interesting around the town?" He asked.
