Oh sorry about that. Edited* Dragon Tamer wrote: You know, this could make a good contest. If more people join yes, or if they worked together.... However the difference in style could effect this.

How would you decide winners? Anyone can email smileys to Steet to be used on the forum. As long as they're the right size and a transparent .gif file there's no problem with them, unless they're unrecognisable(sp?) ofcourse.
I -might- have a shot at making some at some point.

Eh, I dunno, not sure I really like the idea of a contest for it. If someone had made some before this topic was made and sent them to Steet and he put them up no one would've had anything to say then.
Kinda feels like it's not everyone can send stuff to be used on the site, which isn't true at all.

To illustrate: Notice the lively use of shading to make the face look three-dimensional, the thick expressive outline, and so on. That's how the ones for LKS ought to look, I think. Agreed.

Dragon Tamer wrote: And come to think of it, the outline color ought to be taken into account too. Notice how the wolf smilies aren't outlined in black, but a darker shade of gray? It should be similar with the lion smilies, have them outlined in kind of a darkish brown (or red if manes are added). I agree 100% here, I like teh wold smilies, and I cant wait for the lion one.

Contest or not, I would prefer that the smileys I add to be from the same style. So I guess there can only be one "winner".
