I have a lil Puerto Rican mutt (a sato), it's kind of difficult to pinpoint the specific breeds, but we've narrowed it down to her *likely* containing some Sheltie, Eskie (American Eskimo Dog), and some kind of terrier. She's definitely got some terrier-instinct; she spends her time outside rooting around the backyard for critters... when she finds a squirrel or bunny or anything like that she shoots after them, barking...

She's always cornering something in the woodpile/behind the shed...
Also, we take her places and people think she's still a puppy of some kind, because she's small but looks like a bigger breed of dog... one little kid saw her and was like, "Awww, a baby collie!" XD so cute. She does have kind of a collie/sheltie-ish look about her though.
Then I also have a black & tan smooth-haired dachshund named Henry. I don't really know if he's considered standard or mini... he's kind of in between... about 15 lb or so, but he's small - just really fat. He has Cushing's disease, which makes him kinda tubby. My dad's friend came over one time and brought his dachshund, Houston... and it was so weird, seeing the difference between the two o.o; Houston is slim, athletic, shiny-lookin... like the perfect example of the breed

Then Henry's fat, has messed up/crooked legs, an overhanging butt, even a chubbier face, and he's got silver on his muzzle/paws/speckled over his back. My mom's shown pictures of him to her coworkers, and people even asked what breed he is. Apparently he doesn't look much like a dachshund... He's my baby though <3 We've had him for about 6 months. He was abandoned and brought into the clinic where I work by animal control... we couldn't pawn him off to a dachshund rescue because he was too old looking, and if nobody took him he'd have to be put to sleep :/ So I talked w/ my parents and... w/ some gentle persuasion (and taking them to the clinic to see his sad little face and show them that he NEEDS me *cough*) they agreed to adopt him :3 He's my dog, too, and I take responsibility for him... we got Lila when I was in 4th grade and had begged for a dog for years, and she ended up being taken care of mostly by my mom... which I regret now, but I love her too and am more responsible now... but yeah, Henry's been mine from the get-go, and I'm the primary caretaker. I walk, feed, groom, medicate him, etc... he sleeps in my room, and if I'm ever away for a night he keeps my mom up w/ his whining and barking until she lets him sleep w/ her... the little fella <3
...
alright well. I've gone on and on here when I shouldn't have. The short, simple answer is 1 mutt and 1 dachshund.
