Psh, Sarabi. Even tho she wasn't in the movie for very long, you still grow attached and feel for her. I mean, she's been through so much more than Jenna will ever have to. Sarabi lost a husband AND a son in the same freaking day for God-knows how long, had to serve under someone she hated, got clubbed in the face for calling him out, then wakes up only to find that her son was the one who killed her husband xD Yes, it turned out not to be true, but can you imagine how broken she must've felt in just those moments alone? To finally find one shred of happiness and hope in your life when your son comes back from the dead only to find out that he's guilty of murdering your beloved husband. And she still came back and kicked butt.
And even in scenes BESIDES the main ones, you see that she's funny and she thinks like a kid and a mom at the same time. ("/Your/ son is awake") Plucking up Simba in her mouth and already suspecting his motives by saying "So where is this 'really cool' place?" show these things.
Jenna just had to deal with the /possibility/ that her owner would've died xD And you don't even get to see how Rosy really effected Jenna as a character. You see more on how much Rosy meant to Balto than to Jenna, and he wasn't even her dog. I'm not saying Rosy didn't mean that much to Jenna, but you certainly don't get enough of an impression in the movie.
And sure, Jenna came along and fought off a bear, but she just hurt her leg and was seen walking on it later, w00000. She wasn't really that funny either. ("What!? Polar bears who can't swim? D8". Muk was funnier xD)
I can cut her some slack because her "true" character probably wasn't even seen that much in "Balto" because she was going through a tough time and all. But they didn't really develop her that much in the later movies either. You can finally get the impression of how motherly she is in the later movies, but eh... not really anything to get too deep into. I feel kinda bad.
Yeah, definitely Sarabi. A very under-appreciated character. Not to mention she has good taste in men xD Mufasa totally owns.

Oh My Gawd you said it all Cat ~ I agree with everything she just said, Sarabi had so much heart, even though she wasn't in the movie much she still stood out, I mean don't get me wrong I am more of a Balto fan than I am a lion king fan BUT Sarabi takes the cake for me.... Shes' always been my favorite Lion king character... I like jenna too, but ...... i have to totally say Sarabi!

Cat, you pwned it. You always pwn things XD
Sarabi was such an awesome mother and wife. She was an awesome character all-round, as well. Standing up to Scar was a brave thing to do, and I love her stony expression as she walks past the hyenas. Ehh, Cat totally said it all.
Jenna was too Mary-Sue. Sorry to all you Jenna fans, but come on. She was nice, a bit shy, caring and brave. IMO, that's not that interesting. And then in the sequels, she turned into a Mary-Sue-Mother (as did Nala in TLK, and I hated that). Jenna is nota bad character, but... the thing I hate most is her appearance. Why does the hero's love interest have to be anorexic and fluffy? A little creativity goes a looong way, you know.

I don't think you misread my sentence XD I think I just sounded like I wasn't respecting other people's opinions. No harm done though, right?
