Kudos for your bravery, BW. I'm glad to see that you're open with your story now ^^
I remember when you first told me over MSN - I couldn't say anything then because I was surprised - to put it mildly. I could never have guessed before then that you had such a background. Your life and how you overcame these obstacles and became who you are today is truly inspiring.
I'd take my hat off if I ever had one =)
Happy birthday as well, BW. May the future hold only the best for you.

Woah...thats very inspiring to me. I'm going to tell that story to my cousin, because she hates her life and keeps trying to commit suicide. I'm trying to stop her though. Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! XD

I'm proud of you, Brownie. You stuck it to the doctors, your mother, and other people who thought you wouldn't live or wouldn't be successful. Half of this I never knew until now, and my respect for you only grows now that I know all you've been through.
I may not be a drug baby, but I know what it's like to be "not wanted." I was born to parents who didn't love one another; a father who was an abusive alcoholic and a mother who worked all the time. I'm the second child to that couple, fourth of my "litter" (with two younger brothers from another father, my current stepfather). My older sister was the favorite (despite what Mother and Father said, mom now admits it) -- so I was often the "omega" and taking all of the beatings. Which, unfortunately, included a couple of cigarette burns, lashings with the belts, and even being physically abused (beaten) as an infant. Now I will have nothing to do with my father, and I've "disowned" myself.
All in all, I know relatively how you feel, though not the "complete package." I'm glad to finally know what you've gone through in life, and I'm thrilled that you continue to thrive despite the ailments and hurdles thrown your way. I sympathize with your woes, and extend my arms to you whenever you need them. We may be years apart, but I am here for you. :]
OH! Happy birthday, Brownie. :] I hope it's the best you've had.

And all I have got to say is "seriously" because to be honest, when I was reading that, I could actually see your past life (Well... With my own cool designs of the rooms, xDD) And I could actually see a man throwing/leaving you in a dark room (Or thoe my view was animated for some reason, watching to meany scarey animated films) But I feel sorry for you and I understand why... I'm not evan gonna go there but anyway, I do feel sorreh for you and I hope the future is alot better than your past. Yea, same here. Whatever he/she said, I agree! Happy Birthday Brown!!! And I'm gonna share this with my moma!

If I knew that this story was posted a couple days ago, I would've posted this earlier. But anyways, this was so inspirarational that it almost made me cry. Not with sad tears, but joyful tears to know that you are a miracle, and that you have survived through many things and that you are here now, on Balto Source. Happy belated birthday. Your friend, Dakota.

I have honestly been moved, Brown. And believe me, I don't say that often. It's hard to realize the magnitude of the gift that is life until you hear something like that. I would have never known any of that about you had you not told the story. Wow... You know, it's hard to write something like that on the internet without sounding like you're crying for attention, but you seemed to have managed to surpass anything that would label it as such. Your perception of life is quite refreshingly optimistic, Brown. There need to be more people who view life as you do; more people who realize how great life is.
A wise person said that living takes courage. You, my friend, embody that.
Ah, before I get all schmaltzy on you, I'll finish up with a "Happy birthday, Ms. Brown Wolf. May there be many more as happy as this in your future."
*hugs*. You're a great person.

Aww.. *gives a hug* Perhaps I'll show my mother this. She loves stories like this. Like my mother and I always agree with this: It's amazing how someone could live a life like that and not use it as a crutch. (In other words, you still go on and do stuff, and not let your dissablility bring you down.)
This story truly touched me, and I will never forget it. You are a strong girl!
God bless!

Brown, that was truly inspirational! And I definitely agree with the others; you would do wonders in some sort of ministry work. Your story is so touching and you've proved to everyone (or at least, I would hope so) that life is worth living and that if you really want to, you can get through anything. I hope everyone who has read this paid attention to that special message. You've overcome such odds and yet here you still stand, smiling and encouraging everyone else. And, I realize how late this is, but happy belated 21st. ^.^
