I think he's amazing (not in a "OMG, lyk hawt" way, but in awe).
Though I was told that the person who planned 9-11-01 used his prediction to embody it, the event happened. Nostradamus predicted that it would happen, not how. I did a small research project on him, and watched something about him on the History Channel a while back. Astonishing.
You may as well say you love Harry Houdini because he had magic powers.
First of all, I will clarify.
I did not say I "love" him, nor do I believe in "magic" (watch out, Criss Angel)
! Being in "awe" is being astonished, shocked, or as the dictionary description says: "
an overwhelming feeling of reverence, admiration, fear, etc., produced by that which is grand, sublime, extremely powerful." (
Source.)
Also, the moral of the story is that
it happened. His predicting 9-11 hundreds of years before made my jaw drop. On that same show (that I mentioned before, on the History Channel), he'd predicted the death of a queen's son. Whether he picked up signs of the boy's upcoming death or not, I cannot say for sure.
But how can he predict something that won't happen for hundreds of years? Obviously, he couldn't "pick up any signs," for a skyscraper being seen by one of these people would have made
their jaws drop -- they had tall buildings, but none such as this.
You can click
here to see predictions of 9/11 in vary. Nostradamus, as obviously stated in every site about him, died in 1566. September 11 happened
435 years LATER.
"In the year of the new century and nine months,
From the sky will come a great King of Terror
The sky will burn at forty-five degrees.
Fire approaches the great new city."
"Earth-shaking fire from the center of the Earth.
Will cause the towers around the New City to shake:
Two great rocks for a long time will make war,
And then Arethusa will color a new river red."
Mere coincidence, or an object of insanity? None of us can say -- he died too long ago, and obviously didn't leave papers behind saying "Oh, I'm insane -- I did this to freak you all out." Neither have they found any babblings that are consistant with mentally unstable peoples', as far as my knowledge extends.
I wrote a paper on him some years ago, after I watched that show and was -- as I said -- in utter awe. In my curiosity, I was propelled to learn more. Of course, some of it I wondered about. Others made my eyes widen, namely past events.
Mostly, it's opinion. I am in awe because he obviously had some sort of gift. He didn't say
how it will happen, only that it happened. By the consipirators using his predictions to plan the event, they made it come true.
He predicted that it would happen -- not the who, how, and why.
