Miki poked her head through Kodi's doggy door. "Hey bro, how you doing this morning?" she asked in her normal cheery voice.
Dipsy pulled a bag of jerky into the mail room. "Hey Mel, hungry?" she asked. "Or do you have something to panic about now? The mail team hasn't left yet." she said jokingly.

Kodi glared at Miki and her cheerfulness. "Fine," he said in a flat voice, getting up and shaking out his fur.
Mel was pacing. "Have you forgotten the race already?" he asked her. "They could easily get lost again."

"Hey you're the one that asked me to get you up early this morning." said Miki. "I'm going to go wake up Rose and Saba." she said and pulled her head out.
Dipsey rolled her eyes. "Just calm down." she said. "That was Steele's fault and he got chased out of Nome...again."

Miki ran to Rose and Saba's house. She snuck in and put her snout beside Rose and Saba's ears and let out a loud shril yip.
Dipsy rolled her eyes. She stuff a bunch of jerky in Mel's mouth.

Rose let out a small skriek and nearly hit the ceiling. She was panting when she glared at Miki. She sat down in a huff, trying to compose herself. "What ever happened to just gently woking a sleeping dog?" she asked in a dignified voice.
Saba jumped, though not as high as Rose. She basically just rolled onto her back. She looked up at Miki. "Whats with the wake up call?"
Mel glared at Dipsy, unable to talk with the jerky in his mouth.
Kodi laid outside the post office, listening to Mel and Dipsy. Then they're musher came outside. He was doing much better. He petted Kodi and the head. "No mail today, boy," he said with a smile. "You dogs deserve a break after rescueing me and all." The musher didn't really know what happened, but he assumed the dogs had rescured him.

Miki giggled. "I was just having fun." she said. "I could've stuffed snow in your collars if I had wanted to be mean."
Dipsy chuckled. "Relax Mel, they aren't even going out today." she said. She looked at Kodi. "Want some jerky?"
Jenna walked into the mail room. "Morning Kodi." she said smiling. She nuzzled her son. "No work todaY?" she said.

"Nah," Saba said, scratching an inch behind her ear. "Dingo's not mean."
Mel swallowed the jerky, but stayed quiet this time.
"No thanks," Kodi said to Dipsy. He looked at his mom. "Nope. Boss is giving us a break."

Miki nodded. "He's just a prankster." she said. "Remember his first one on that mean bullie dog down the street?" she asked, Dingo had put hot sauce in a bullies food, a lot of hot sauce.
Dipsy nodded. "Alright."
Jenna nodded. "Hey Kodi, the Winter Soulctis is coming up." she said, also knowing Kodi knew Balto's birthday was on that day.

Saba chuckled. "I remmeber that. He stuck his head right in the snow to stop the burning."
Rose giggled at the memory. "Did he ever figure out it was Dingo?"
"Don't worry, Mom," Kodi said. "I haven't forgotten. But I still don't know what I should do for him."
Mel looked at them with a cinfused look. "Who? I thought we were tlaking about the Winter Soulctis."

Miki shook her head. "Nope." she said. "Thank goodness he doesn't use the mean ones on us." she said. "Though I could do without the herbs that he knows how to make into stink bombs. Why did Sable have to show him that?"
"Its also Balto's birthday." said Jenna. "Well not his real birthday, its the day he met Boris and sense he can't remember his real one, we do that date."
"Mel, we need to get him something." said Dipsy, eating more jerkie.

"If she was really nice, she wouldn't have shown him," rose complained.

Miki chuckled. "She probably didn't know what he was going to use it for, at least it doesn't last long." she said. Suddenly a little ball rolled into the room and popped open, filling the room with a yellow gas. The moment Miki smelled it, she fell on her stomach, covering her nose. It smelled like skunk spray, rotten eggs, burning rubber, and garbage. "Peeyeew! Oh Dingo you stinker!" she yelled, eyes watering.
Dingo alughed loudly outside. "Sorry, couldn't resist!"
Jenna nodded. "I don't know ether, I'm thinking of getting him something to help him exursise."

Saba ran to the window and quickly opened, breathing in the fresh air. She saw Dingo. "You brat!" she yelled at him, but she was smiling lsightly.
"Yeah, he'd like that," Kodi said. "Speaking of, how's his leg doing?"

Miki pushed her head out of the window, coughing and gaging. "That was terrible." she said, breathing in the fresh air through her mouth but keeping her paws over her nose. "Bad smell but a good prank." she said with a laugh.
"I tried some new mixture, it smell worse?" asked Dingo, still laughing.
"Great, he's just got to build the muscle back up." said Jenna.
