i agree, 100%. thats not advertising, thats just annoying. the more "friendly way" of advertising to me would have to be posting a sentence about your contest in your siggie

Goodness, ok yes it can be annoying, but would it really KILL you just to say 'no thank you, and please don't pm me about it again'? Be nice about it and they'll leave you alone. If it continues just block them or tell a mod, maybe talk to them privately about it. Geeze, not a big deal.
