Dipsy nodded and dragged the bag out to Jenna. "Hey Jenna, Mel had another panic attack, you know how he gets, want some jerky?" she asked.
The Raven let out a content screech as it flew in front of Steele, for the most part staying in his site.

Kodi nuzzled his aunt. "Glad to meet you. Theses are my friends, Dusty, Ralph, Kirby, and Fang." he said, introducing his friends.
"Glad to meet you." said Fang.
Dipsy nodded. "Well you know Mel." she said. "I wish he'd stop being so paranoid."
The Raven flew ahead, out of Steele's sight. Soon a deer appeared in a narrow section of canyon, leg trapped in rock. She looked at Steele. "I'm sorry I'm in your way, if you help me, I'll gladly get out of your way." she said.
OOC: Aniu is testing Steele, he'll meet several animal totems, Deer is compassion, that's the lession here.

"Thank you very much." said the deer, bowing her head. "The Raven told me you haven't eaten in awhile, there is a karabio that was killed in a rockslide up here." she said, running up the side of the canyon with grace and knocking a karabio carcus down to Steele. "It was killed in the rockslide that trapped me, you're welcome to it." she said. "Best wishes, and the Raven said to let you eat it if you freed me." she said and the moment Steele would look away, would vanish.
OOC: In the end, if he chooses the good path, he will face the incarnation of his own hatred. Lets focius on him for awhile.

The raven purched on a tree nearby, waiting patently for Steele to finish eating. Weather or not Steele would admit it, he'd show true compassion for another being and that was part of the test, the Raven knew Steele thought he was afriad it would of chased him off from the deer had he killed it but probably in his heart, he probably had diffrent ideas.

The raven screeched and flew off down the path. It made a note that next time patience would be the lession. Down the path was a totom pole, at the bottom was the deer, above that the skunk, the snake, the cayote, the wolf, then the Raven. It perched seemingly to let Steele catch up.
OOC: Was the Raven and the other totem animals Aniu? The totom pole tells the animals he'll meet, the skunk is patences, snake is a form of fear, cayote is the trickster, I'll have more later.

The Raven took off down the path. Once again, when it was out of Steele's view, another animal crossed his path. A skunk jumpped out in front of him and lifted its tail at him. "Stop!" he yelled.

The skunk chuckled. "Don't worry Steele, I wasn't going to spray you, I was saving your life." he said. "Come take a look at what you would've fallen into if you hadn't stopped." he said, pointing behind him to a slightly lowered place of land filled with snakes, all poisonious, Steele wouldn't of seen it in time. "Its mating season, thus all the snakes." he said. "The Raven told me to help you along but only if you'll do me a favor, I can't swim and past the snakes is a river, I'll help you past the snakes, you take me across the river, deal? Oh and if I help you but you leave me on shore, I'll spray you."

"I don't need on your back yet." said the skunk. "We've got to get past the snakes, now see that in the middle there?" he asked, pointing to what seemed to be a ball of snakes. "That's a mating ball, a bunch of males are trying to mate with one female. That's why they're all here." he said. "We've got to be slow and quiet and stay away from the mating ball." he said. "Long quiet breaths." he said slowly putting one foot into the mass of snakes, waiting for the serphants to slither out of way of his paw before putting it down. He continued this until he was far enough in Steele could do it too, it took about 10 minutes to get that far.
