Welcome to fandom, people, you have your shippers of all colors that are equally annoying. People dragging on with the spamming of hating a character, particularly not explaining why, is quite the headache. But getting your panties in a wad about just the hatred in particular doesn't make it less annoying I'm afraid. Half of you seem like you take it personally, which would be as fake as one's definition of this "hatred."

I can understand being annoyed at the repeating threads about it, but I say if people are allowed to have topics about loving a character, they should have topics about hating a character. Hell, people even turn what-if topics into hate topics, if you haven't noticed.

Exactly, and this is called an opinion. People are and should be allowed to express their opinion about a character whether it is positive or not. But others just take their opinion personally, as if it was an offense or something. We see people strongly against or for these opinions what becomes very much like groups of gangs. But the site is supposed to be friendly.

So I believe it's the people's attitude towards one's expressing his opinion should be called into question. Whatever a person's opinion is on the character, other should respect it. IF they don't like it, just keep their mouth shut and leave the topic as it is for others who are capable of commenting respectfully. Of course, I don't mean when a person's saying things such as "I hate Aleu and all those who like her are stupid". In a case like this, the person should report the topic to a moderator instead of trying to argue because the person that says such things is obviously showing immature behavior, trying to create a flame war.

We've learned all throughout history that we ALWAYS need a scapegoat whenever things go awry... In the Balto 2 & 3 case, it just happened to be Aleu and Stella. ^^ When people see a movie, read a book, or watch a show, they're constantly looking for characters that always seem to destroy it for THEM (them, being the individual, not the movie/book/show/etc. as a whole). It's irrational, yes, but it also provides people with a kind of outlet to say why they disliked a certain media... That, and sometimes, they just go with the flow and hate characters simply because a lot of othe people do.

...the literary term for it's called a Bandwagon Appeal Fallacy. An erroneous logic pattern, indeed.

the character-hating losers will say its freedom of expression or something stupid like that, but I say they just don't have anything better to do...

It has everything to do with the topic, and it's not pointing fingers.
