Personally, I think that Stella was an annoying character. In fact, Flurrin, another Balto Source member, pointed out that Stella was a rather seductive character. I think Universal could have left her out, and if they really wanted to give Boris a girlfriend, they could have made her a little more...well...normal. My opinion!

BETTER.
Stella was a lame attempt to bring back the non-strictly-for-children sorta thing into the movies... and it sucked. If Stella had just been booted the hell out of the script they'd be able to focus more on the sleddogs, which WAS what the movie was intended to be about...

Yes I do have to agree. On my own topic, Stella did make the movie not too much suitable for young children. I would think the plot would be better without her. Sure it would have to be changed but I still would've lliked it any other way. I don;t really like Stella, but I don't hate her completely to be honest. ^^

with out stella, maybe we woulds learned a little more about the relationship of kodi and balto.  since that was what the movie was SUPPOST to be about.

I share the opinions of some of the others who have posted here on the issue of Stella. However, only to an extent. Boris having a mate, I believe, is a great idea. I myself just dislike Stella's mannerisms. And, if I'm not mistaken, a change in her personality probably wouldn't have too large of an impact on the movie's plot.
I wouldn't have minded if Stella's song had been omitted from the script. Many things could have been added in place of that. I would have liked to see more screen time for Kodi and Dusty.

I especially agree with omitting Stella's song(whic I found annoying) and seeing more screen time for Kody and Dusty
