I know, it was simply a joke. I've owned several dogs and cats in the past.

Then perhaps you should have made clear that it was a joke...say, with a smily. Otherwise, it just looks like a poorly-thought-out, haphazardly-thrown comment.

No need to get rude JerseyCaptain, what's the problem? You seem to have been arguing with me since I got here.

Aren't you getting just a little sensitive and defensive? I don't see what I said as "rude". There is no problem of which I am aware, other than an apparent lack of context in that post you made, which you later claimed was a joke. In any case, the topic was a serious one...not one intended for jest. Personally, I think joking about it is in poor taste, especially given whom we are talking about.

You take offense to a joke about a heroic dog and I'm the sensitive one? All I'm saying is it seems every time I make a post you're there to argue with me even when debate isn't necessary.

Okay, now who's arguing? THIS particular board is about the real history behind the Balto movie...and Balto himself, the real dog, is acknowledged as a heroic animal. Making light of that is in poor taste, Kenneth. :x

I do NOT go looking for your posts, or anyone ELSE'S, to argue. But if you say something insensitive or unreasonable, I am GOING to chime in. You'll need to learn to accept that people may have a response to the things you post.

I've been on the internet quite some time and been in my fair share of arguments and heated debates but it seems every topic you're in you attempt to start some sort of argument whether it be with me or someone who disagrees with you in anyway.

Alright, it was an odd comment that turned out to be a joke, perhaps just add "j/k" at the end next time? So no one can misread your post and avoid people getting offended all round?

Also, it was only a joke, maybe distasteful in your view but it was only a joke, nuff said now yeah?

Back on-topic.

Clarification time: "Kenneth" made a misleading post, "JC" obviously thought it distasteful to say something like that in seriousness which it did seem without the clarification of it being a joke, all this needed was a realisation that you made a mistake and an edit of your post clarifying that it WAS a joke.
If JC had not mentioned something someone else would have.
Please don't thank me for not explaining myself correctly, if you'd simply said "Sorry, I didn't realise it was misleading, I'll edit my post" there would have been NO reason for an argument to start.

If people would just learn to take jokes

About Balto's littermates... I don't really think we have any clue on who they were. As JC said, no records have been released... but I think there's a high chance they were neutered as well.

As it has been stated many times now, Kenneth did not specify it WAS a joke. As far as anyone could tell it was a serious post in a serious topic, they did not clarify.

Why are you bringing this back up after it has been said it will be left alone now?
