The large winged wolf loped steadily along the long, rolling hill for a good mile or two before bright blue eyes flashed upward, catching sight of her new favorite tree. Then, maintaining the same long but casual stride, she began closing the distance. Upon leaving the one border to the other, Summer had originally intended to keep a fast pace in order to keep her blood pumping and muscles flexing. Keeping active. But then she found her pads sinking into grass that surprised her with a softness that rarely endured this far. The frosty blasts of wind lulled in this expanse too, even though her thick sable pelt would keep her warm even through a blizzard. Her pace slowed to a trot that savored the pleasant environment. Why hurry through something as beautiful and transient as this?


As the female reached the massive tree and slid beneath its comforting shade, thoughts began to thicken beneath her cranium. As intended, this solitary stroll gave her time to think, A small smirk caught her maw at the thought. The smile dissipated into a curled lip as Summer circled and curled up in the grass a few feet from the trunk. This way she could see all around her, whereas a wolf could sneak around the side of the tree if she had chosen to nestle amongst its roots. Weakness. Satin ears splayed grimly and she growled, a low sound that quivered in her throat. She would most definitely bring destruction to that pack one day, if not for the sole purpose of tearing their throat out.

Xinal heard the splash an dangled his ears towards the direction of the water. Keeping his eyes straight ahead with nothing but the usual dull stare he gave. A splash? There's nothing that big that could make a splash as loud as that. But then again it could just be a whale or something. He blinked his eyes before starting to set off again but he paused in mid-stride. Or could it be something else? He started to reconsider checking the source of the sound. Eventually his bright curiousity, or what was left of it, overwhelmed him and decided to check.

He came across the scent of fresh-kill. No doubt, someone's been hunting here... He noticed a fresh scent of a wolf. He shrugged as he padded on, contemplating as he walked. He stopped short when he saw Nyx standing over a white wolf pub. "Nyx? What's this? Who's that?" A flair of his old self came out with those words filling them with genuine curiosity. He approached the pup seeing that he was fluffed out with terror, "Are you alright?" He tipped his head to one side his eyes sparkling with concern. He could smell the smell of air and noted with those wings that this was no ordinary wolf but, there was something... something about this pup though he couldn't get past the scent of the sky on his pelt. "Where are you from?"

Vixen had raced across the fields, pretty fast for a wolf of her young age, especially if she was a Wind Wolf. She skidded at the top of the hills, and looked down to seee Diaku. Her eyes widened. "A Luna Wolf?"

The golden and white she-wolf plunged down the hills, but slowed and got quieter when she noticed the other two wolves. She'd only been intrested in the wolf pup and why he was here; not the others. Almost growling at herself to pay attention next time, she stood back up. They would have seen her by now.

Padding down towards them, Vixen tried to scent what kind of wolf they were. Not her kind, that was for sure.

Nyx was about to figure out a way to tell him Daiku her name, when Xinal came. Nyx simply shrugged, and looked at him a a confused manner. "I dont know..." her eyes replied silently. No one truely understood her, except Xinal. He was really the only one she felt safe around and fairly comfortable around, but she never spoke to him, atleast, she was to shy to. Although she felt safe around him, she didnt trust him a hundred percent. She feared getting cared about, or caring about someone herself, so she kept her distance.

Nyx looked back to Daiku, the shaken pup, and sniffed around him, taking in his unusal scent. It wasnt like anything she ever knew... it was... almost a mix of all the clans. 'odd...' she thought. Her head titled curiously, and her tail twiched lightly as she awaited to hear from the pup. She wanted to know what he was and why he looked so different from all the other wolves.

Xinal was about to say something else when a he caught sight of movement out of the corner of his eyes. He turned his ears in that direction to check if what it was and decided to take a look. Someone or something is coming... He saw a white wolf in the distance moving across the fields. Instantly Xinal's senses went alert, tensing his muscles slightly dropping into a crouch. He glanced fervently from the approaching wolf to the winged pup. This pup obviously is not a possible threat. He nodded to himself and whipped around and side-stepped so that he was directly in front of the path of the other wolf. In an instant his old self was lost as his eyes darkened and anticipated a possible battle. He couldn't scent the upcoming wolf because she was downwind; the wind was blowing his scent to her, not vice-versa.

The white wolf leaned forward, but still out of sight, trying to spot the wolves. "Oh, he's cute..." When she took another step with a dreamy gaze on her face, the ground broke and she slid down the hill towards the others.

Xinal tipped his head to one side when the white wolf fell down the slope. He padded forward cautiously, still unable to identify the white wolf. "Are you alright?" he asked curiously due to instinct: to help a fellow wolf who maybe be injured. Then his head shook as he remembered the possibility of threat.

The stiff blades of grass barely reached half the thickness of Summer's extended forelegs. She was usually disinclined to flop down on her belly because it could be a disadvantage should an enemy find her. Yet this hill provided her a vast range to view, and she wasn't exactly a runt either. Sure enough, one of her blue glances across the dying emerald landscape caught a shape approaching her hill. It was a white wolf, but upon closer inspection she ruled out those familiar to her. Feeling advantageous and therefore confident, the winged female leisurely rose to her powerful haunches and sat studying the wolf as it neared the base of the hill. Her wings sat lazyerly on each side of her frame, the black feathers standing out bringhtly from the base of her large wings.

As the wolf neared, Summer noticed its young, healthy figure and long legs, the alert gaze and attentive ears. It was a female, moving in caution but not aggressively. Therefore, as soon as she was within social earshot, Summer rose alertly to her feet and waved her tail above her back. With her head raised and eyes sifting over his profile, she posed with authority but without direct command to this stranger. Wings had now folded inwards to her sides.

Summer perked her ears. White hackles bristled ever so slightly at the thought, and she noted her friendly greeting. Yet she didn't exactly run up and shove her nose into Summer's personal space or grovel like a pathetic another wolf surely would. Sure, Summer thought sitting down in the presence of a complete stranger could be foolish, but she also kept a good distance and avoided staring. Aqau's behavior pleased Summer, who relaxed enough to whisk her tail with interest. The question was simple but loaded. What was her name, of course, but was she a loner or from a pack, was the only thought in her head till they were suddenly answered without a word that escaped her maw.

Perhaps this Aqau figure did have an inkling as to who she was, but perhaps she didn't recognize her from whatever descriptions were floating around on the other side. Lifting her head at the question, Summer responded to her courteous inquiry with a confident, smooth tone. "Interesting to met you Aquamarine...Name's SummerRains and your not the only one to be banished" Then, eyeing her with blue orbs that softened and warmed with satisfaction, the winged female retreated a step or two then fell back on powerful haunches. That way, she had enough of a distance to launch forward should Aqua choose to surprise her while she remained seated. She never let her guard down with outsiders. No matter how impressive.

"Do you have any competition on your side? Bears, cougars, coyotes?" It was better to be safe than sorry when it came to outsiders. Predators wrestled over their common prey. If there were other large carnivores on the other side stealing the food supply, all the better for them. If so, she would keep herself posted near the borders in case something migrated to her less populated side. The less competition, the better.

Daiku was getting really scared seeing all these wolves show up, He tried to growl, but he was out of breath and only gave a weak cough. he started to back away slowly form them, only slipping and fllingback in the water, yelping he jumps out and shakes the water off, flapping his wings throwing water on everyone there, finnally getting enough courage to speak he spoke in a weak voice, "I... I'm D, Daiku."

The beautiful white wolfess forced herself to her paws quickly, standing on tip toe with a embarassed grin. "heh...sorry. I was...curious." Vixen looked over Xinal's shoulder at Diaku. What a strange wolf...

Almost a year of age, Vixen didn't really pay much attention to the things she should. Never asked Xinal anything, or tried to scent what wolf clan he was from. Her eyes remained curiously on Diaku, and ever now and then she'd glance back at Xinal.

Nyx looked at Xinal as he left then back to Daiku. Nyx wagged her tail lightly, and smiled at him. She was no threat to the pup. Taking him in her jaws, she carried to him a soft pile of brush, which she placed him on for comfort. She nosed at his soft white fur, and his massive wings. Nyx let out a soft bark, calling Xinal to her. She needed his hunting skills. The pup looked quite famished and scared. Nyx licked his soft fur motherly, trying her pest to dry him off and keep him warm.

She rested her head on the ground and waited paciently till Xinal got her call.
