those people are trying to be like you 2 preventing it.. doesn't mean their dogs there get em now does it ...
Um... what?

lol you people need to read closesly

you're too frustrated to concentrate and to prove your point to me that you don't observe things properly...
Is that the only way you can back up your own argument, insisting that Emily and I aren't reading? Because we are, and I'm pretty sure we both got the same message: "Heartworms are uncommon and you shouldn't make such a big deal about preventing them."
Or, if that's not what you're saying, you need to make it clearer. Your sentences are really hard to read.

she said IT NEVER REALLY HAPPENS lol
That's what Emily just said. >.>

geez she meant basically is.. it's like a once in a life time occurrence
According to that page I just gave you, it's not that uncommon. 1 in 1000? I don't think so. 6 dogs on that page had heartworm, and I'm pretty sure there weren't 6000 dogs there.

and go complain to my vet in Pompey bout it (Portsmouth, U.K just to let you know) and don't complain to me.
I'll be sure to take it up with her, thanks.

i'm only saying what i was told and what i was read so sheesh
Doesn't mean it's true. Nobody should ever take a gamble with their pets' health, no matter what they've been told.

the medication exist just for vets to make money and for you (owners generally) to worry bout their loyal companions and to buy it.. it's called advertising.. like on TV and computers.
You're telling me it's all a scam? WOW! And here I was, imagining I could guarantee my dogs a long, healthy life, but now I should just screw it. It never really happens anyway. Just a way for that stupid vet of mine to steal my money. I'm totally pissed right now.
Um, yeah, not really. The medication exists to prevent heartworm. That's why it's called Heartworm Preventative.

just like medication for people.. we don't always need w.e things to make us better somethings our bodies can tackle

Some things they can't, heartworm being one of them. And another thing. Dogs are not humans. Don't assume their bodies can fight off anything thrown at them.
BTW, this is coming from someone who refuses to have flu and cancer shots, but is pretty confident she'll get neither. Go me.
